Does anybody have any good knock knock jokes? This group should be full of them.

One time they came knocking on my door and asked to come in and talk.

I said "**** it why not?"
I invited them in and said "what are we going to talk about?"
They said "we don't know we've never made it this far."

Haha I'm pretty sure they did a very similar skit on Family Guy. I remember getting to talk to lots of people though.

Wow, there's not very many of us :P But I'm glad to say hey and be a part of this group cause as you all know, no one knows what its like to come out of that cult, esp if you were raised in it, and all the stuff you go through mentally once you leave. That's one of the reasons I'm on MFP lol.

I was one of the ones who was too nervous to breath, so I tried to keep it short and just get them to take the magazines so I could leave lol.

I just saw this post! I would really like to find others on here, so please, feel free to mention this group to anybody you know that fits! And yes, it is a HUGE cult & leaving does a huge head job on you! So glad to be free & picking up the pieces of my life, even 4 years later.

Oh definitely! It takes time to get all the mind control sorted out, and even little things like taking a hobby class, will still make me feel guilty for using my time up in the wrong way lol. Its soooo nice to be free!!

Anyone can add me too. I came looking for this group after that "What's your religion" I posted I'm an agnostic atheist, but grew up a JW, and then like five JW's posted and I threw up in my mouth. I need to deal with my inner rage :)

I was master of the fake knock, especially effective if you were out in service with a friend who felt the same way you did (few and far between) and when you were in the neighborhoods of kids you went to school with. Awful!

Did you know they were in a court case with Jimmy Swaggart, so they wouldn't have to pay taxes on their literature?

Of course they phrased it like they switched to the "donation" basis to be separate from false prophets. Ha!

I was the girl who spoke on stage at every circuit and district convention, my dad was PO/CO on his way to becoming Traveling DO. In all the dramas, special pioneered every month, led all the demonstrations, service meetings and organized territories for weekend service. Yeah... I was THAT girl.

Oh noes! I pretty much didn't ever believe in it, after my best friend got a brain tumor in first grade. I couldn't reconcile that could happen with having a loving creator. I didn't even get baptized, which led to many fights with my elder dad. I was stuck in this weird limbo where I couldn't hang out with "worldly" kids, but I was a "bad influence" to the JW's. Ah, good times.

My sister was pretty into it though, she got baptized and got ONE part in a drama. She was the slutty girl at school that was trying to make the witness boy be tempted by her ho ways. Tragilarious. She had on this 80's long shirt dress, and fingerless gloves (I think the idea was to make her look like Madonna?)

I remember one Kingdom Hall I went to had a downstairs apartment for the overseers, I was fascinated with it.

Nearly exact same thing happened when I saw them post in that thread. Rage.

HI :) Just joined the group. Doesn't look like there's much going on though. Would be nice to have a place to discuss topics that only a few of us understand.
