Week 14 Checkin - September 6th

Happy check in day all! I wanted to get the topic going, so that as you are ready to log in this week - it will be there.
As of this morning, I am up .2 lbs from last week, but was actually a little higher after the holiday weekend. I am doing my official check in tomorrow and see what else can drop off today!
Hope everyone is having a good week. We have just 3 weeks left on this challenge. I know many of us did not hit our 25 lb goal - but I'm still so excited that so many of you have stayed with it!
I will be starting a new challenge group to run from October through December. Here's the thing - we're going to call it the " Let's Make It Through the Holidays Together" group! These months are some of the toughest of the year - and so I'm not going to set any team challenge goals related to weight. I think we will use this challenge to do our best and hold ourselves accountable! Maybe we say we are going to do our best to weigh in once a week and take responsibility for what we did - up or down!
If we can get momentum going for the holiday - we may each find some success in different ways! For some, that may be not gaining a lb throughout the season, for some it may actually be dropping some weight. For some it may be getting some healthy habits going that we can aspire to during these months. Set you're own set of 2-3 goals, and then report in weekly on how you did.
I love this quote from Jimi Hendrix - "In order to change the world, you have to get your head together first." I think I'll use thise challenge to get my head in the right direction so that as I move into 2013 - I am ready to do great things!

If you look back at my weigh in's, you can pretty much see that I have been stuck at a plateau since mid July. I hover between 159 & 160. This past week, I decided to take what they call a "diet break". I am increasing my calories for the next two weeks then I will drop down and pray that I break the plateau...

For the past 2 weeks, I think I've consumed enough alcohol to open up my own bar.
With that being said, I am happy to say that I only packed on 1 lb from all the fun.
This next week it's all about my needing to strike a better balance between my healthy ways and my partying ways.

Well, I'm close to being where I was a few weeks back. I know I am on my way back down - and hope to reach my 300 lbs milestone by end of month. I am out of town on vacation for a week starting next Friday so better do well this week!!
