Ahhh! Gotta love NSV!

Major NSV! My new photo shows it off just fine! Bought this shirt 2 springs ago. Couldn't wear it at all this spring. Today, I'm skinnier than when I bought it! See that belt, I'm down 2 notches! This was the uplift I needed this morning!

This is super important because yesterday I only saw a .2 loss for the week. Things are moving in the right direction.

Onward and Downward!

    That's awesome!!! Congrats =)

I sometimes forget that inches is what really matters, weight fluctuates all the time on the scale.
Looking back at before photos or trying clothes on again like what you did.
    Great job!

Nice! I often forget that inches matter more than pounds. I just started this book and was wondering: are you finding it easy to follow? How have your results been?

Inches to me are much more important than the pounds. Hard to get our heads around that when we have beat ourselves up our whole lives on how much we weigh. Congrats, love the pink belt.

Results have been good but not great, I find if your family isn't on the program with you Low Carb days are extremely tough. The program is easy to follow once you know how YOU want to do it, or approach it. Chris Powell doesn't give you structure in a sense of how many g of carbs is considered a low carb day vs a high carb day. He gives you a guideline as in what veggies are acceptable and other foods in other groups (fats, carbs etc.) but I find he doesn't give you a lot of recipes or ideas of how to combine food.
My boyfriend finds the program frustrating and doesn't understand how you can have High carb and no fat or fat and no carbs. It really is all about interpretation and how you want to follow it.

I find if I preplan the next day or for a week I am a lot more successful but I have only been doing this for 7 wks, First week I just played with High carb and low carb days and didn't pay attention to how many calories I was consuming. Using MFP is helpful but just keep in mind that LC days your carbs might be high on MFP cause it includes the good veggies that are unlimited on Chris's program.

    Hope that helped.

The first few weeks for me I found difficult. I mean really, eating a turkey sandwich without cheese in the parking lot of a dairy in Wisconsin could cause anyone to crack. Fortunately I was doing my first few weeks with my Mom, who at that point had been on the diet for a week... so we figured it out together. Once I was back home and making food for my family again, it took me about 5-6 weeks to get into a rhythm of what works for me. It took me about a month to stop reaching for the cheese all the time (I really am a dairy girl).

I find packing lunches for my hubby easy with some of the meal ideas chris has in the book. I'm a SAHM, so I don't put together meals for me ahead of time unless I'm leaving the house. But, I do lots and lots of prep work that makes meal time easy. Every time I grill or roast meat I always through at least one extra piece on. When that meal time is over, I cut the remaining pieces into appropriate portions, and place in snack size ziploc bags. Those bags I place in a freezer bag, and put in the freezer. When I cook rice I also make extra, and freeze in snack size bags with 1/2 c servings. Whenever I dice fruits and veggies for anything, I dice the entire piece/quantity, and put it in containers in my fridge. That way, salads, omelets & stir-fries are a breeze.

You'll find what works for you, and then you'll get in a routine. :)
