Monday Week 4

Happy Monday challengers!

So I'm a little disappointed today with my scale. But a 1lb weight loss is better than a gain. And my trainer reassured my worries but did have me bring my calories down a bit. Even though I thought I did well eating last week, I am going to try so much harder this week. Today is my day off of work and I am going to sit down plan out my meals for the week, and prep them for easy access. For a busy person this is one of the most important things to do when trying to lose weight, if you don't have a plan for what you're going to eat or readily access to healthy foods you are more likely to choose things that are bad for you.

So that is my mini challenge for myself this week. And my positive mentality today is a little weary so on top of planning my meals out I am adding another challenge that I really encourage you all to do as well. I am going to create a new thread for positivity ONLY. Every day (or as much as you can) I would like you to post 1 positive thing about yourself, something you love about YOU! Even if you can't log in to share it with the group, make sure you say it to yourself. Write it down, look in the mirror and say it out loud, anything.

It's important to know that even on your own you can be your biggest supporter and your own motivation. But you have to be nice to yourself.

  • Hope everyone had a great weekend! My exercise has been lacking lately, along with doing bad on the weekends, so this week, I'm going to try to get in some exercise everyday, and not do awful this coming weekend!

  • Hey everyone - I totally agree with the needing to plan. I have to make sure I pack a healthy lunch & breakfast for work or I'll eat whatever the school cafeteria has (yuck). I pack it up as soon as the baby gets asleep and before I settle in for a little relaxation before my owm bedtime. I can't let it go until morning because I'm up at 4:45!

    My main goal for this week is to try and find some time somewhere to add in exercise because I continue to have a crazy schedule and I refuse to compromise on my sleep.

    My positive for the week is that I broke the 10-pound loss milestone this week and MFP lowered my calories! I'm excited for a double digit loss :)

    My mini challenge for the week will be to up my workouts a little more. I'm on level 2 of 30DS and have been doing that every day, but ever since I started 30DS I have not been walking as much. So, this week my goal is to walk 10 miles on top of my 30DS.

    I think I am failing to plan already! I work tomorrow and have nothing to pack in my lunch!! My "plan" is to go to Subway during my free hour.
