Hey for dinner tonight why not give dinner or lunch if you still have time...and give it some international flare?! Try a cuisine from another country! Or if you are cooking do the same...often times other countries add more veggies, a different vegetable or add different spices and herbs then what we are used to!
Indian cuisine has many different spices and different flavors, Italian (Thailand too although different) uses the great basil and for that matter along with the Greeks olive oil! Potatoes abound in Peru. Chinese, Japanese, Scandinavian, Spanish African...so many cultures to choose from.
It doesn't have to be a huge all out change just maybe a bread, a spice, even thier style of eating...taking your time and enjoying the food!
Seek and find!
I learned about the Chipotle...love the flavor it brings to soups and sauces!
Peace,
WW

It sounds more Cajun than Puerto Rican. Closest I would guess is jambalaya without the sausage. South American, and/or Carribean.0
