Anyone else having trouble kicking the last 10 pounds?

I am 42. I am doing Jillian Michaels Body Revolution DVDs. I don't stick to her eating plan, because, frankly, I have a full time job and 2 small kids, and I can't cook that much and that variety. I try to keep it to 1200-1400 calories a day. I do have off days. I am 11 pounds from being the weight I was before having 2 kids and my weight loss has slowed to a crawl, despite doing these killer hard workouts. Anyone else find shedding these last 10 pounmds to be very hard, especially after age 40?

They say the older you get the harder it is to lose weight - I think there may be truth in that. In my 20's or 30;s I could lose a stone in 5 weeks or so. Now I am finding that it may take 2 months. I also think its true the nearer you get to your goal the weight loss slows considerably, I have always found that to be true. I am dreading getting to the last half a stone, if i am honest0

I was 12 pounds from my goal for a couple of months. I would lose one week then gain the next. I started doing high intensity intervals a couple weeks ago and have started losing again!0

Count me! I lost 30 lbs a few years ago and after gaining 10 back I'm working on the last 10 -- again. Over the last year I've started doing circuit training using workouts from the Oxygen magazine and have gone on to DVD's (mostly Jillian's). I like the DVD's because I work out about 5:15 a.m. and it's easier to follow a DVD then looking at a magazine! I've been yo-yoing these 10 lbs but since I started C25K in July I'm finally getting down to the last 2-5 lbs.
The biggest thing is that everyone is different and what works for me might not work for others. I've also read that the best workout is the one you haven't done yet. We need to change things up -- eatting and exercising -- keep moving and switching to help our bodies WAKE UP :noway:0
