ok, this is my second round of insanity, and i see some of you posting your burning up to 1000 calories per workout. i want to know how. today, i had the plyo cardio circuit, i pushed as hard as i could, even did more reps of some exercises then the people on the vid, and i only burnt 391 cals in 43min. how long do you leave your HRM run after the workout? any tips or pointers? maybe my HR isnt recovering well enough between circuits? i dont know, i should just be happy its working. lol. and stop worrying about how many calories im burning

I wonder about the same thing! I believe the highest I've burnt on Insanity is maybe the high 400's and that's with Pure Cardio or Cardio and Resistance. Those are the 2 that really get me pushing myself beyond my limits! I have no idea if it is whether my HRM is not working properly or what.... I know that it also depends on your weight and height on how many calories you burn.0

i keep thinking maybe my HRM is broken too! i get my HR up pretty high during the intervals, im 5'2 and about 163lbs. during the 2nd month i burnt more during the first round, i keep a close eye on my HR too because ive been known to get it up to 210 at times, and with my max being 191 i dont believe thats safe. i keep it between 170-185 during the hard parts, and it gets down to about 165 during the 30 sec break. like i said i shouldnt complain, first round i lost 19inchs...and now ive already lost 3lbs and im on day 3 of week 2...0

Beats me! I did plyo circuit today and burned 446 (net). I push myself to the point of muscle failure and total exhaustion and often tears, so I'm doing as much as I can. I was pretty impressed with that amount, so I don't see how folks are getting so high. Maybe I'll learn some tricks!0
