I have never been able to stay awake during Shakespeare ...

But then again, Joss Whedon can do no wrong.

    Ugh, so torn!

I kind of agree with you! Not a big Shakespeare fan, much to my husband's chagrin, but I do love me some Joss Whedon!

Go see some live Shakespeare. His plays are written to be performed and far from dull. If you are in the UK I can reccomend some good theatre companies?

I can't wait! I've been a Whedon fan from the Buffy days. I just watched Cabin in the Woods again today. What an amazing cast and story! He surrounds himself with brilliant people.

I've been a Joss Whedon fan since Buffy and I hadn't heard about this. It's definitely on my "to watch" list.

True, Shakespeare is killed because we are "forced" to read them as kids. He is meant to be seen and heard!

Triple agree that Shakespeare needs to be seen live. In the US, check out the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. Despite all backwards South type jokes, they are actually legit, and pretty amazing.
