    Ok, so if you were going to buy your lady some lingerie for xmas, what colour would you choose?

    Sad and a bit embarrassed to say I have never been asked or had to contemplate this question.
    I suppose it would depend on what her favorite color(s) was.

    Perhaps a topic of its own but unless really in sync with the lady and intimate desires I suspect buying lingerie for a lady has a real lot more down side for a guy then a positive outcome.

    NOt really Carl. The few female friends I have and I talked about this one day. The consensus was that it makes us feel sexy to wear something you want to see us in. Cause no matter what your probably gonna think it looks good

    This is going to detour Annas topic I bet but wouldn`t a lot of ladies be uncomfortable if my choice was more risqué then what they normally go for or perhaps feel that they have been disappointing (sad) or unsatisfactory (anger) up to that point.

    Or am I overthinking an assumption (not entirely unjustified) that the lady will be likely to overthink it.

    I think they are the most uncomfortable things ever designed by man or woman!!! But hey, I only got little legs and a big *kitten*, so perhaps it's just they dont suit my height/shape :laugh:

    I can't speak for all women, but I would happily wear whatever you bought for me, for you!! It would be fun!! I may not necessarily 'like' what you bought, but that's not the point! As long as you like it! :wink:

    I'm not speaking for all women in the world, but if you're with more of a prudish woman, then yeah, I can see that your risque taste could offend her. But surely you would be able to gauge her level of adventure by knowing her for a bit?

    I draw the line at gimp masks, personally!!! :laugh:

    I like the quirky fun things. Rainbow print, neon colors, contrasting colors, animal print, neon animal print. It makes me happy and I feel a bit friskier! But that's what I wear for me since I'm the one buying it! I assume he'll either like or he can go buy me what he likes. That isn't to say I would ever turn down a sexy corset, fishnets and boots (that's in my special drawer)

    Booooo if you are with a lady that gets upset at a harmless gift drop her and find someone with a bit more sense of humor! If you give a lady matching leather set and she can't muster up a joke about riding crops then it's time to move on because if she's that finicky about underwear I would hate to see how she handles day to day life! Hahaha

    I guess I may be a bit jaded but remember a thread in the chit chat forum from around a year ago where many if not most ladies all expressed being somewhat offended if a guy called them cute or some didn`t like pretty,others being called sexy.

    yeah, its true Carl. There are different women as well as different men in the world. And if a guy called me pretty, cute and bought me sexy underwear, well Jeez, I would almost cry with delight?? :smooched:

    Its funny, but I think it takes a time being single to appreciate just how much you miss those things. I think when you're in a throws of a complacent relationship, you can forget just how much the small things matter and just how much you take each other for granted !! :flowerforyou:

    I like lace, and I have one that is black lace with a nude background..love it. Better than the normal boring bra's I'm stuck with because of my awkward size.

    I think color depends on what will look best on individual skin tone.

    Thanks Anna! I love lace, just ordered a dress online that I'm so excited about but now its on back order :(.
    I say for sure get a bra to match the dress..I think lace = sexy + classy.

    I have tanned arms and a white torso, so for me sexy depends on the shape of the bra not the color. :)

    When I was younger I worked at a small lingerie boutique. It was awesome to see the guys come in - some knew exactly what they wanted and some were really shy - but in the end, the point was simply that it was something fun and sexy for them to think about and give as a gift! Anything more than that is over-thinking it. If a guy buys you any lingerie, he wants you, enough said :smokin:


    And as far as my personal preference goes, I like bright fun colors... ones that scream FUN! :drinker:

    I ripped a girl's bra in half once when my mind was on things other than complicated clasp mechanisms. I decided to surprise her with a new one from Victoria's Secret and didn't realize that I was clueless as to her size until I got there. I demonstrated with my hands and a cupping / groping motion to the nice sales lady.

    It was awesome and awkward at the same time.

    Haha, most guys used to come into the store, point at one of the sales people and say their wife/gf was that size... :laugh: But really, if you don't go for an underwire bra where you need an exact size, there are tons of options in the S - XL range and guys can usually pick that out fairly easily with some help. :bigsmile:
