Do we have an October challenge?

You bet we do.
Keep on trying to lose those pounds. Challenge ourselves to whatever we want to do this month.
How about:
One pound or 1/2 pound or even a fraction of a pound for the month or whatever But really challenge ourselves to stick with it and concentrate on every bite and log it no matter what. Let's also make sure we drink AT LEAST 9 GLASSES of WATER each day and be sure to LOG IT on our diaries. (One more than recommended by mfp.) Add something additional each week to do and stick with it. What do you all think?:bigsmile: Start doing hand weights. If you don't have weights use cans of vegies etc. Just a suggestion.
I realize that it's not as great as some think we should or could do but we over 60's that have physical problems need the consistency of doing something positive and not giving up.:drinker:

Hello all,
I'm new and loving it! So far very good. I like the October challenges. I teach school and find myself not drinking enough water because I can't get to the bathroom whenever I want (or need) to. I am going to figure this out and start drinking the water this month. I wonder if theywill allow a porta potty in my classroom?!?!0 -

Welcome Virginia,
We weigh in on Monday or Tuesday or sometimes on Wednesday. We are not to structured on that point. The challenges are easy but the main thing is to do them any way you can. If you want to put your current weight on Tues and your goal weight that's ok and if not that's ok too. I prefer to do it as it's easy to see in one shot how I'm doing. I think the porta-potty is a great idea. lol You might start a trend in your school.:bigsmile:
I was going to suggest that we do the challenge not only for October but all the way until the end of the year, or we can do a new one each month. Whatever floats everybody's boat.

I'm going to give it a try. I'd be happy if I lost 4 pounds this month. It will be a real challange. I'm going on a 3 day retreat where food is catered, and, I'm going to Virginia for 6 days to visit my sister (and we eat out quite a bit). So, good luck to me and good luck to all!:flowerforyou:0
