Psalm 91: 1-6
God Our Protector
1 Whoever goes to the Lord for safety,
whoever remains under the protection of the Almighty,
2 can say to him,
“You are my defender and protector.
You are my God; in you I trust.”
3 He will keep you safe from all hidden dangers
and from all deadly diseases.
4 He will cover you with his wings;
you will be safe in his care;
his faithfulness will protect and defend you.
5 You need not fear any dangers at night
or sudden attacks during the day
6 or the plagues that strike in the dark
or the evils that kill in daylight.

We often think of fitness as a 'doing' sort of thing. We watch what we eat, we exercise, we shop wisely, etc.
Remember that you are also *receiving* care, love, and protection from your Heavenly Father. He wants us to succeed, too!

When you feel you are overwhelmed by something in life, and are tempted to eat your way out of it (like I do, I am an 'emotional eater'), think on Psalm 91, especially these leading verses. Then rest in His wings which cover you, catch your breath, and ask Him to help you through that specific moment. He wants to help you, and He will.

  • I'm very motivated right now but I know that this will be helpful when things slow down. Thanks!
