Hi there! I've been running about 9 months so haven't really been through a winter yet. I'm curious if anyone still runs outdoors in the winter or are we stuck indoors? Other than gloves, jacket, hat...what other special gear is helpful or needed for winter running?
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Under Armour (or equivalent) everything. I can get through a run with two layers on top and bottom: skintight winter gear, and sweatpants/hoodie.

I tried running a few times this winter... and while I was able to stay warm (to a point) it was breathing the frigid air that got me.... I couldn't run more than a mile or so. How do you deal?

I'm near St Louis so our weather varies by the hour it seems, when I head out for a cold run, I have thermals and my regular running pants/tee and a hoodie, gloves, ear muffs and hat. The coldest run I've been on was last night at 17 degrees.
