Anyone else love chocolate? What do you do for a quick chocolate fix? Is there a vegan alternative to Nutella? Thanks :)!

If I want something chocolatey I always make a hot chocolate- a tablespoon of cocoa powder mixed with boiling water and a splash of soy milk, it's around 30 cals and always satisfies my chocolate craving (:
There are some vegan chocolate spreads out there, there's one called Plamil organic chocolate spread, I don't know if it's sold out of the UK though. You could always try and make your own vegan nutella!: http://www.picklesnhoney.com/2012/02/03/vegan-nutella/

This is no nutella...but when I need a quick chocolate fix, I take a medjool date, take out the pit, and press the sticky inside with some cacao nibs. Superfood!

Make some chocolatey homemade larabars (http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/2011/08/12/hot-fudge-brownie-larabars/) or, not the same as Nutella but "Dark Chocolate Dreams" peanut butter is good. (or "White Chocolate Wonderful", they're still peanut flavor though not hazelnut.)

There's Rawtella http://www.rawtella.com/ It's not quite nutella, but dunk a graham cracker, strawberry or smear it on some bread, you'll be happy.

Justin's Nut Butter Natural Chocolate Hazlenut Blend is pretty much exactly like Nutella (though I've never actually tasted Nutella, they are both Hazlenut and Chocolate). Justin's is also organic and non-hydrogenated. They carry it at our local co-ops and some grocery stores or they have it on Amazon. I don't think it is low cal or low fat, but it is vegan.

I found Justin's nut butter at Target in sample packs. I think it was one or two dollars for a single serving pack. It was nice to try it before purchasing a whole jar. And I loved every flavor

I'm in love with banana chocolate smoothies lately. I just add 2 tsp cocoa powder to the blender- banana, agave, water, ice. done.

My FAV chocolate fix is the new Vegan Chocolate Shakeology. For me it's ideal! One wrong chocolate dessert and I'll be on a binge!

A chocolate smoothie serves two and is healthy!

    .5 c non dairy milk
    1 banana
    2 cups frozen blueberries
    1 handful spinach
    1 tbsp chia seeds
    2 tbsp cocoa powder
    2 dates

Delicious and you get greens, anti-oxidants no added sweetener which will give you toxic hunger. YUMMY!!

I usually go for a square of dark chocolate. Whole foods organic dark chocolate with almonds is a recent favorite.

If you are close to a Trader Joe's they have 'Dark Chocolate Covered Mint Espresso Beans'. It reminds me of a peppermint patty. They are low in calories and are perfect after a meal to satisfy that sweet craving.

Check out peanut butter and company: nearly every flavor is vegan, and they have both dark and white chocolate, maple, cinnamon raisin ...

The lemon is mind explodingly good. I came across it once in a Whole Foods, and I've never found it again (at Whole Foods, Earth Fare, Trader Joe's, local stores). It's insanely expensive to ship.

I just found a line of vegan chocolate bars at Kroger. They're called Dream and they have regular "milk" chocolate and dark chocolate. Both very good and I made s'mores yesterday with vegan marshmallows of course! Awesome:bigsmile:!

I think the closest to a chocolate hazelnut spread like Nutella would be a vegan-friendly chocolate peanut butter which there are plenty of companies who make it (just do a Google search). Now if you're really specific and want the chocolate AND hazelnut, you can find your favorite peanut butter and mix in Ghiradelli's Chocolate Hazelnut Hot Cocoa mix.. mmmm...

Or if you want to be fancy, find a quality peanut butters, cocoa powders & hazelnut powders. Add sweetener as needed.

I love soy or almond milk (.75 cup) with frozen banana (1 whole) and cocoa powder(2TBS). Blend until smooth. Mmmmmmmm!

Justin's has a vegan version of Nutella. I just tried it. I bought the single serving packet, and I'm glad I did. The jar is $10. I've never had Nutella, so I can't compare, but I just can't see spending $10 to get a jar of the Justin's stuff. It was fine, but it wasn't $10 a jar fine.

FYI - Justin's has had a major recall on a bunch of their nut butters (jars and packets). You can go online to look at the exp dates affected.
