to plant or not to plant....???

ok we're planting (technically my neighbors do the planting to try to keep deer out of their gardens) and my family are the only ones who hunt and eat deer.

So my question, do you plant and what do you normally plant and where are you located?

Well I don't plant (Because I don't have property to plant on), but would. I have a few friends that have hunt property that is planted. They hunt ove clover, Biologic, beans and suger beets. We are located in PA.

"Buck Forage" oats are great because they grow fast and never go to seed. I have plot planted to to a clover blend that works pretty well.

Here is pic of one of my plots. This was planted in 2009 all we have done is mow twice per year. The bald spot in it is a mineral lick and the brown to the left is a 56 acre bean field

I was obviously was taking a bloody arrow pic but this shows the clover pretty well

Around here in Nebraka and in Iowa I've seen feed corn and sorgum used in plots as well as soy beans. Also some plant oats. Most of our hunting ground is surrounded by corn fields and bean fields so we ourselves don't do a whole lot of planting. We do put mineral salt blocks out in various traffic areas though.
