Very hard day I'm having, she is in her senior year of high school. Going through things that you won't do again together. When you raise your kids alone its even harder to let them go. Yes big Z is balling today and trying to hide it.

I know how you feel. One of my nieces is getting married and another one is married and having a baby. I used to watch them when they were babies.

Some days are worse than others...my kids are still young, 9 & 12, I would keep them that way if I could!

My sister and I were raised mainly by our dad, my mom died when I was 8...step mom not very involved. At 43, I still have an amazing bond with my dad. So, she may be doing certain things again, I am sure the future will hold a lot more memories for you both!

Its tough, I would trade anything to be getting up in the middle of the night changing diapers or rocking them back to sleep when they have a bad dream or sick. This is the toughest part of being a parent. Especially when you were on your own to raise them.
I am so proud of her, she will probably play college ball and I will get to see her then. She made all A's and one B in AP classes. She stays up late to do homework, practices ball, drives very well( no tickets & no fender benders). I couldn't have asked for a better daughter. Very mature, has her goals in sight and works very hard. Yes my pride is showing....just don't know how to stop the hurt I know is coming. I love my kids more than life itself. Ugh....

Well, sounds like you have many reasons to be proud! She is lucky to have such a great and supportive father. She sounds like an amazing girl!

I make sure to spend plenty of time making memories with my son. My friend Lauren lost her toddler to the hands of a child abuser. What I would give to give her just one more day with her daughter. I cherish every moment I have with my child, you never know what could happen.
