Any league bowlers?

Any league bowlers out there? I found that bowling seems a lot easier this year than when I stopped last spring. My average after 3 weeks is much better than what I ended up with last year. Any others have this experience after losing weight?

I bowled a summer league, but have not signed up for a fall/winter one. I just don't like the repetitiveness of having to show up every week for 32 weeks...too much.

On the plus side, my team won our summer league, and on my very last game of the league, I shot a 280 to win the high game award, by 1 pin! (which earned me 10 whole dollars!)

Been on the adult leagues since I was 18. Bowled ona few youth leagues as well.

I think I usually drink enough beer on bowling nights to nix my burn.

I've been horrible this year and I think it's the grips in my fingers. I typical have an average between 140-150 and right now I'm stuck in the 120's. I got a new ball last year and I just don't know that I like it. It feels too heavy and one plug tears the hell out of my ring finger on my bowling hand.

Same here on the beer. I did switch to Michelob Ultra. It seems I do better with a beer or three.

I started drinking Bud Select 55s. Only 55 calories. :)

I've been having issues gripping the ball since losing the weight and will have to get some new grips. Hate having to do it. We don't have any pro shops in the area and it kills a Saturday to get to the nearest one.
