Week of 10/1 to 10/7

Woot new week! I am on week 9! 4 more weeks for me. I am still trying to decide if I want to do P90X/TF hybrid or TF/CLX hybrid. I know my hubby wants me to do P90X but I am scared of it. I did one of the workouts and it was so hard!! I couldnt do some of the exercises at all. I may wait until I lose a little more weight. I know I can do CLX even though it is a challenge but it isn't completely difficult. Anyone else tried P90X?

Hey Melzy! Yesterday I did 55 EZ. Not my favorite workout. I feel it takes way too long. I am in Week 6. I should be in Week 7 but I had a re-do of Week 6 because of travel. I tried to do the fit test a year ago and I was hurting just from that. I am not in a place to do Insanity or P90X at this point. I think I am going to do The Hybrid Chalene Extreme/Turbo fire. I am doing the full 20 week program. I hope everyone is having a good start of the week. I will be resting today and pushing play at 4:30am tomorrow morning.

I'm also redoing week 6. I got back from my mini-vacation with a severe head cold- yuck. Skipped my workout today, but I hope to be back at it tomorrow!

I did turbo-kick (turbo fire live) at the gym yesterday and will most likely run tonight. I am going to be running 3 days a week and TF 3 days a week. Probably won't continue following the TF schedule because I need to start training for a 10K in November. But.. I am still here and will continue to "push play" as often as I can!! Keep going ladies!

Yeah I think I will do TF/CLX hybrid. I talked to my hubby he said I should do what I'm comfortable with. He wants hard so he is going to do p90x. Today I did 55 EZ. I think it's too long also man I am always pooped by 45 min. I can do the 45 EZ and reg just fine. Tomorrow I have fire 30 and push 2. I may just do the fire 30. Been batteling a migraine for the pst 3 days and I was really tired after my workout today. I will see how I am tomorrow. I usually can get rid of them after 3 days. Anyways glad everyone is still going.

Hi all, I just joined your group. I am new to MFP and just figured out that there are groups. I found you. LOL I am doing Turbo fire (duh) and am on week 7 well in the middle of it. My rest day is sunday so my new week starts on friday's. I did try P90X once with my hubby and while it was tough, I didn't think it was that hard. I hated all the upper body movements, which is why my hubby liked it so much. Plus Tony drives my nuts I had to do the workouts with him off and just the music on. I Love charlean. I did the hybrid schudle before I did TF cause it was to hard for me to do. I loved it, I like lifting weights and both was the best. I did ok with my results too. I lost 10 lbs, 15" and one pants size. I switched to just TF cause I need to lose ALOT of weight and more calories burned durning TF. Well anyway just wanted to give a shout out. :flowerforyou:

Morning Ladies....I did Fire 30 this morning at 4;30am. I didn't have time to complete the 30 minutes sculpt. It is hard with my schedule to workout more than 45 minutes in the morning. Jenni, I hope you feel better. Tina I think it is great that you are running a10k. I hope to start training for a 5k soon. I am not a runner, but doing a 5k is on my bucket list. I have been altering my workout schedule alot because of my time contraints. Friday, Saturday and Sunday Mornings I can do full worktouts, so I have to adjust. Welcome Vini9 to our Turbo Fire Family.

Welcome to the group Vini! Thanks for the info on P90X. I am a pretty weak person. Small frame and small muscles so that may be why I think it is hard. I have always been weak that's why I LOVE lifting weights. I can now do 11 knee pushups all the way down. I started out doing 3 half way down. lol It's ok I don't care I know I have a tiny muscle structure and I don't mind it. I just want to be stronger and I am seeing that. I skipped my workout today. I was still pretty tired and I can still feel the echo of my migraine so I opted to take a rest day. I am glad because I am now feeling better. YAY I hate migraines and get them about 4 times a year. I feel so bad for people who have them all the time. Anyway tomorrow I will make it up by doing Fire 30 and Push 2. Looking good Lucy! =)

So I was doing turbo 45 today and wanted to see if anyone else has trouble with the step throws. LOL I always mix up my arms and usually do same arm as leg. Everytime! I get frustrated cause I can't seem to pick this up. Just seein if anyone esle does this or if I ever get to do a live class how I will be the only one to look silly. :noway: :blushing:  Other then that it as a great burn.

Welcome to the group, Vini! I'm pretty uncoordinated, so I get my step-throws mixed up about half the time. I also get the fast punches in the Fire 55 EZ's first finale wrong on a consistent basis. I've been getting better, it just takes practice!! =)

Oh, on a side note guys, I'm currently studying to become an RN, and I am learning so many amazing things about the effects of exercise on the body. I learned one this week that I just have to share: exercise is the #1 thing to do to keep yourself from developing osteoperosis. When you put extra stress on your bones (hello TurboFire!!) you build bone density, resulting in healthier, stronger bones. As long as you keep active, your bones continue to maintain a good density. If you become sedentary, your bone density almost immediately begins to drop again. That alone may be why some of us seem to be losing inches and not lbs... we are not just gaining muscle, we are growing stronger, healthier bones, too!

Vini: I don't have problems with those but I do have trouble with the side punches. I can't remember what they are called but the ones that you have to squat and punch high and low. Not sure why but I just can't seem to squat and punch at the same time. lol Chalene says you don't have to get it right moving is what is important! She obviously isn't OCD. <giggle>

Jeni: My sister is in school to be a nurse! After she graduates from that she will do the RN cert. Great info! I have heard that somewhere that exercise and muscles help bone density. The body is amazing isn't it?

I did a short workout today. I was up early my 3 year old woke up earlier then usual and was hopping on me. Granted it was just 30 min early but that 30 min was needed this morning. lol BUT even though it was short it was HARD. I did the 15 min HIIT and I gave it my all. I only took it easy one HIIT session in the middle because I was still really winded. Hope everyone has a great day and keep pushing play!

Welcome to the group Vini! Jeni~ thank you for the great info! I am a health education major and I know how hard it is to fit in your studies, life and exercise.. I wish you much success!

I haven't pushed play in sooo long. . I tought a kickboxing class last night and ran 3.2 miles today. I soo miss Turbo Fire and I pledge to push play tomorrow! Have a great~healthy~active weekend ladies!

~Lucy.. You should totally run a 5K.. I never thought I was a runner either and I ran my first 5K ~3days before my 40th Birthday.. Running in races is so different than running on a treadmill or on the street by yourself. There is this amazing feeling that comes over you when you cross that finish line and it truly has become an addiction for me! You will be hooked after the first one! Good Luck!
  • Good morning! Haven't posted in awhile but have been pressing play most every day!! I have tried to no end to edit my "before" and "month 1" pictures to sit side-by-side, but alas...I'm not a gifted photo editor. :) I'm on Week 6 now and still loving it! I didn't lose much weight from Month 1, BUT I do have 2 pairs of jeans that are FINALLY starting to fit right, and I feel like I am(slowly) toning up and slimming down. I wasn't perfect on my eating, and I just can't seem to give up my glass of red wine at night! :) Anyhow, the best I could do with the pics was to edit together a collage with views side by side. I'll attempt to post it and would love any feedback...I hope I'm not just looking at it and seeing changes that aren't really there! Great job keeping it up, ladies!! :)

Did fire 30 today. Lots of fun and just the right length workout. hehe

Hey ladies. Amccart4....awesome! These pics r major motivation. I did fire 55 and that is my least favorite but..I pushed through. I need to take my measurements again. My clothes feel a little loose, but still far to go. I still love TF and will stick with it. I love when Chalene says.... HOW'S IT! Lol!

Morning ladies. Did fire 45. One of my favorite workouts so far. I love the music. I have been able to do more jumps too. The fire drills are crazy! Hope everyone enjoys their Saturday. Keep pushing play!

You look awesome Amccart! I forgot to take 6 week pictures of myself. Now I think I'll just take them at the end. Between exams and being sick, I've only pushed play once this week so far, so I'll be re-doing week 6... again >,< Even though it sucks, I really do not want to cheat myself on this by skipping a week.

^^^^^^ You can do it! just keep trying. You'll feel so much better as a whole. I have repeated many a weeks in the past (none thus far this time) but I gave myself a talking to and said you know what it's my time, I want to feel good, look good, and I just have to do it, and at __ this time. I'm a mom who before would workout when everyone was alseep so that no one would "need me" Now I have the same time everyday no matter what. Yeah it's TOUGH but I still do it and I am proud of myself for it. My hubby said what you put in is what you get out. Pissed me off!!! So I'm doing better and you will too, just keep trying. After all you did 6weeks, which is amazing. This is a life journey and well that's life.

Oops I forgot to check in yesterday. I did low HIIT 25 yesterday. DOR today and tomorrow start week 10! I can't believe I have been doing this almost 3 months now! It sure has flown and I have lost 8 inches off my body so far! I can diffently see the difference in my pica too but I'm too shy to post those. Maybe when I get to the end I can do that.

Vini the reason why they are EZ is that they have less fire drills. Lol yeah they aren't easy. Turbo fire is insanely hard but so fun.
