Hi everyone,
Started getting a vibration on my bike that felt like going over a rumble strip.
Thought my bearings were going in the back wheel, but seemed unusual given I had a service last week. Anyway, on closer inspection, I've got a lump on my tyre which comes out just a few millimeters from the radius, but is also bulging out to the side too. The tyre is a road tyre that is fitted to a mountain bike.
I know I need to replace the tyre, but wondered how unusual this was and whether there could be anything I can do to prevent it.

I'd just remember road tires need more air at all times. Could it be a pinch flat?0

Thanks Snow. The tyres are about 6 months old with about 2k miles on them. The tube is new. I'm thinking of chopping the tyre this weekend and using it as a liner to protect against punctures.0
