Psyching Yourself Out

Since everyone around me it seem it either getting pregnant or already has young children, does anyone else psych themselves out by imagining a symptom that could be early pregnancy signs? I don't have my period but occassionally I mights have very light spotting, or like lately forgive me if this is tmi but I have been super emotional, and have had increased clear discharge. There is no real oder or itch associated with it, so I do not think its a yeast infection and because I haven't had my period in so long I do randomly take pregnacy tests just to check things out but I haven't taken any for a while and hate to spend the money on getting tests just to have my hopes dashed again. IDK I'm just venting some stress, but in the back of my head I am always thinking what if?

I definitely do this. It's like you run the thoughts in your head.."maybe?...just maybe"? Only you know your body best, but it doesn't hurt to take a pregnancy test to be sure. Especially to relax your mind so you know one way or the other.0

I do the same thing. Sometimes I feel like I obess about it too much. I actually just had a trigger shot on Friday last week which was to make me O. So I am currently in the 2ww and I am obessing about it and thinking every small thing is something that should be a pregnancy sign. It's hard not to get your hopes up.
Also, I know you mentioned that you hate to spend the money on the pregnancy test. A recomendation is they sale pregnancy test at the dollar store and they work. At least that is what I have heard. I have heard it from friends as well as reading about it on line. I would recommend you get a couple of those and if it turns out positive you can always go get a more expensive one if you want to reinsure.

I totally understand how you feel. I did that for years. The signs of pregnancy and PMS are way too similar!! I am not TTC at the moment, but I wanted to share something that worked for me. Do some research on the OVWatch. I am one of the lucky ones and have 3 awesome kids. My first was unplanned at 18 so I didn't have a clue I had PCOS, however, had never had regular periods. I think she was a true sign from God to get my life together. I can only image where I would be today if she hadn't come along. Anyway, with my son I was on Clomide for 2 years and then with my youngest, it was 5 years. I read a story about Trista and Ryan from the Bachelorette and they talked about the OVWatch. I bought it and on month 4 was pregnant. You wear it at night and it test your hormones based on your sweat. It gives you 5 or 7 fertile days. It takes a lot of the stress out of TTC. Might be worth looking into for you.0

I do this all the time too. The problem for me is that ovulation, the time leading up to ovulation, and PMS and early period are all the same for me. I was doing BBT for the last 2 1/2 months but it didn't indicate ovulation so I thought I hadn't ovulated. And then this Friday, I got my period. Other than the temperature, I totally felt like it was coming. But I had had tender breasts and cramping for four weeks. So I'm not sure if I ovulated or not and am on the fence whether I want to continue BBT or not. It did help in that I did not think I was pregnant during that month even though I had symptoms like I might have been. But I also did things like drink alcohol during that time because I thought :"well I haven't ovulated yet" and now I think maybe I did, it just didn't show up clearly on the chart. So in that way, it might have done more harm than good.0

Glad I'm not the one lol a person could go think they are going nuts. I'm going to look into that ovwatch and see what it's about. Thanks for all the feedback.0
