Run the Runway 5K race is in honor of Brigadier Thomas Mikolajcik and again
this year we will open up this event to the local community and we are
extremely excited. The run will take place at 7:45 am on October 27. This
race is a South Carolina certified 5K with individual timing chips.

Race Packets: Race packets for non-DoD runners can be picked up at the
Holiday Inn Express, 7670 Northwoods Blvd, N Charleston, SC from 9am 25 Oct
to 9pm 26 Oct 2012. DoD members can pick up race packets at the JB
Charleston AB Fitness Center. Registrations Closing Date is 24 Oct 2012 at
11:59 PM PST. There will be No Race Day Registration.

Registration: Event registration and payment will be processed through the
website www.active.com for all participants.

Event fees will be set at $15 for all civilian participants.
For any DoD identification card carrying individual the cost will be set at
$0. If DoD identification card carrying participant wants an official
finishing time scored the cost will be set at $15.

Day of Race: All DoD participants are to access the base at Dorchester or
Author Dr only. Please: No pets, weapons, knives, explosives, paint,
skateboards, bikes, rollerblades, glass bottles, alcohol, and no
recreation/commercial vehicles allowed on the installation.

The Commissary Access Gate will open Saturday 27 Oct at 0600 for all non-
DoD participants that will be bused to the race starting point. The first
200 participants to register will receive a participation medal. 5K Course
is certified and will include the Air Force Base Runway.
