San Diego has a plethora of fun halloween stuff to do, and every single one is far too expensive so I've never actually gone up and done any :(

I am not a junkie but going to a Haunted Mill this weekend with a bunch of friends. It should be fun.

I go to our two major ones here in Hampton Roads, VA. We have a Busch Gardens that does an incredible job with Halloween stuff. And there is a local farm that does great attractions. I LOVE them, even if I am a huge weenie. lol

We did the Haunted Graveyard at Lake Compounce this weekend. Then I heard on the radio that The Travel Channel is listing as one of the best in the country. I don't think it deserves that honor, but haven't been to that many, so unsure. It was fun, and I got starteled (and screamed) a few times, but it was 45 min. to walk thru, and kind of gets to the point that you know a person will jump out at you around the next corner. The end was freaky though--PITCH BLACK, could not even see shadows, and literally had to feel your way out and then it was over, but great way to end it

I absoultely love haunted houses. The more frightening the better! Unfortunately there are none in my area. I would have to drive 100 miles to find a good one.

on the other hand we do have the infected 5K / Zombie crawl coming up on 27 Oct and I plan on participating in that. Halloween is my favorite holiday!

I'm not excited to stand in line in the cold with a bunch of drunk kids for a haunted house, but I do have a cheaper/less gory alternative: there's an enormous marble mausoleum in a cemetery near where I live (so creepy- ancient furniture, marble, and red velvet everywhere- Stanley Kubrikesque in a way). I went in to explore with a flirty friend a few months ago and got immediately disoriented and panicked. We're definitely going back this weekend- I almost forgot all about this!

I'm OBSESSED. I seriously live for this time of year...

The minute the Fear Finder comes out around here, I pick it up and circle all of the places I want to go. Now to find someone to drag along with me!

When I was kid we used to play hide and seek in the nearby cemetary.(after dark, of course)
The only thing that really freaks me out are Mental Institutions....
My son and I try to get in at least one haunted attraction a weekend during October. We watch all the scary movies on the 31 days of Halloween. We even try to make it through the silent ones from the 1920s.

Isn't St. Augistine, FL the oldest US settlement?

I have been to a couple real "haunted" houses and jails in Savannah, GA and Charleston, SC.
