The pill

I take the pill (Cilest) to regulate my cycle, however I am due annual review next week and think things need to change...
Im struggling to drop weight, suffering bouts of depression, terrible night sweats.... so what are my options?
Do I change my type of pill, different hormone balance and see how I go?
Do I come off the pill completley again and not ever have a period?
Do I try something new like the hormone injection?
Anyone had a similar dilemma?
Any Suggestions?
Thanks x

I feel terrible that nobody's replied to your post yet. Long story short: each different version of the pill is packaged a little differently. My OB/GYN told me that some of the packaging causes side effects like yours, so I would definitely recommend that you ask for a different version of the pill. I switched to a generic once and was getting bouts of depression, then my doc put me on the brand name drug and things have improved quite a bit. Hope you found an answer!0

I noticed a difference in my cycle for the better when I went on a higher dose of birth control havent had a cyst in over 3 months. Good luck!0

I was on the pill for 4 years, and by the end I felt completely out of control. My hormones were all over the place, my mood was terrible, I often felt like I could not control myself and was on the outside looking in. My doctor suggested going off of the pill (I was originally told to start taking the pill because I wasn't getting periods, but then changed doctors 4 yrs later) - at first, my hormones were INSANE. But after a few cycles of taking hormones (progesterone), I started to understand my body and my hormones leveled out.
I can honestly say, the best thing I ever did was go off of birth control!!! I have taken control of my body, I understand myself better, I am not sad or depressed or moody, my hormones are not suppressed anymore, my cravings aren't as bad. Talk to a doctor about your options.0
