I will plan on 10 miles, but I might just bump it to 13.1 depending on how I feel! I ran 13.1 twice in September. Have to see how long my long runs get.....

You might as well count me in too...for 10 miles.
I have a Hypo Half coming up in Jan (I think) and it will be good prep.

    Good Luck to everyone!!

i think this may be a good one for me. i'll be running a full on 28th oct (next sun, eek) and will prob take a week off after, so this will be a good distance to train for. and i might bump it up to the half as well, dependant upon my will to live at this point.

This sounds like a good enough distance. Long enough to work up a sweat, short enough that I'm not spending the next few months recovering. 10 it is!

This should keep me motivated! Great idea!

I'm going to run 10 miles for the first time ever tomorrow morning, and I'm running a 15K in two weeks.

Anyone still doing this - I know you are, rebeccap. I am going to do the 10 miles - not sure how hard I am going to push. My HM training plan calls for a 10 mile EZ run tomorrow. I think I will try to break 10 min per mile pace, though. Did it once before on a training run. But I am not going to push super hard, because I have too much to do this weekend and don't want to wipe myself completely out!

I'm going to head out as soon as my running partner is ready! We are also training for a half. When I signed up for this, I was anticipating snow. Unfortunately, we have a rainy day here in Chicago!

I missed my weekly long run last week due to a cold, so I'm not sure how my time will be. My goal is to be around a 10 minute mile average.

    Have a great run, everyone!

    Results:

    1:42:59 (10:17 mm pace)

I was pretty happy with my pace until the last couple miles. The bearable drizzle turned into heavy rain and wind. I'm feeling pretty confident about doing my first half in January though!

    Thanks for the motivation!

10 miles, 10:42:37 - 10:15 avg pace. 2nd fastest 10 miles I have done - was hoping for under 1:40, but trying not to kill myself at the same time.
