What to eat??

New to the group... Hi!!
So I'm trying to get a handle on different meals out.
I could pack my lunch and may start... but I also like to hang out with friends and be social.
To me that's the hardest part... because it can be difficult to be with people and not eating.... or miserable to go out and pay $8 for chopped vegetables (salad).
I'm just curious if anyone has any good meal ideas out.
So far fast food wise:
Taco Bell - beef fresca tacos is my favorite cheat. 150 calories x4 = 600.
I'm kinda digging Chick Fil A's southwest salad too... 250 calories but then you can add tortillas and dressing.
Any tips for sit down meals?
Any tips for snacks?
My goals would be good meals between 600 - max 800 calories.
Nutritious snacks around 150.

I promise myself to leave food on the plate, and have left overs for the next day.. I can easily eat a Texas sized meal now, and that have proven to added a lot of my weight.

Don't worry your stomach will shrink and you will get full faster. I'm surprised but I saved about $200 last month eating out.
Yes I have a lot of snacks around, fruit, and crakers/hummus, nutrition bars and nuts. Still high in calories for snacks though so I am looking at nutrition supplements to get my carbs and proteins up.
