I am not a runner but I think my husband may do the bike portion of it.

Very nice!! You can also walk the marathon! I walked the full marathon 26.2 about 8 years ago. It took me 7 hours to finish. We had a walking group that started before the actual event so we could finish on time. We did run a little but it was hard! I am really not a runner but I like to get involved with people who are all trying to be healthy and exercise. I love how people try to help one another.

Honestly, I can't picture walking that many miles but I would do it on a bike though. My husband and I are co-chairs for walks for the National MS Society and the American Lung Association but they are only 5k's. It is more of a fundraising thing than an exercise event. If you are into bike riding though, we have a team for the Bike MS Valero Ride to the River event that just happened a few weekends ago and it is a fundraising ride for the National MS Society so if you want to join our team next year, just let me know. It is a two day ride and covers up to 155 miles. It is an awesome event! If you want to get involved in our walks, just let me know and I can send you the information. We have one in March 2013 and one in April 2013.

hubby is doing the 1/2. He trains with SARR right now. Although he says he should have signed up for the full. Me? I'm doing the cycling part since I can't run. It's short, but at least I get to do something!

Well no 1/2 or ful marathon for me this year. But I am starting to plan for next year. I will be 50 next year so doing the marathon would be a great goal for me.
