... did any of you get down or in a funk?

Granted this place kept my sanity today (with hilarious gifs) but I feel I'm about three inches from a meltdown and I'm not too sure why.

And nope, it's not PMS.....

Ummmm yep. Very much so. Seems to be a lot of bad stuff happening to people around me lately and it is pretty hard to stay upbeat watching others going through so much.

I have been under a tremendous amount of stress with my job and other life stuff going on, so I can definitely understand. This group has helped me for sure.

Ditto, it's like one thing after another. It's great to come online here and see things that keep me motivated. I even tried to "treat myself" with some spicy fried rice and it was a total buzz kill. I just was not feeling it.

Yeh I know what you mean. I always feel like there's never a good time to start a diet, and struggle with the first few weekends - especially friday nights. blah
  • I have been excited to see changes in the way my clothes fit but with all the personal stuff going on right now . I basically spent Fri,Sat,and Sun on the couch with no energy and feeling down. Then feeling worse that I did no cleaning or exercising.

How are you doing? I swear life sucks sometimes! The good thing is we are alive. That is not to be taken for granted. My mother in law was gone in 30 days and had not even been sick. My father in law lost his wife then one leg then the other leg and had to leave his home (for a nursing facility) in the past 6 weeks.

I am extremely confused and scared but i keep telling myself going backwards is the worst thing i can do for my health.

And physical activity and laughter eating healthy are the best things we can do.

So tell me a joke then do 25 jumping jacks.

I've had so much loss most people's head spin 1/5 the way into what's happened in my life the last 5 years or so.
I still try to maintain my humor and a positive attitude.
The holidays are especially difficult for me.

Be grateful for your families, people. There are people out there who can genuinely say they don't have any.....

I always get down in the dumps at the start because I want things to move way faster than they do. I'm all "Let's DO IT! I'm READY! WTF --its been a week, I feel like I'm starving the death and I've gained a lb....ARGHHH!!!" But it gets way, way better when you start seeing results. And then you kind of get addicted to the results. And new clothes. And looser clothes. And your mood improves VASTLY...promise. :-)

I was pondering yesterday trying to figure out if I had a really good week or a really s***ty one. Professional wise I am limited what I can say on an open forum, but personal wise; I received a Red Cross message stating that my biological mother died on Oct 23rd. While she was absolutely nothing to me, it was really weird getting that message - especially during a deployment. In college, my real mom (the one who took care of me since I was 2 months old), I received a Red Cross message on her and she died while I was gone from home. Then during my deployment in Iraq, my real dad (again, the one who took care of me) I received a Red Cross message that he was severely ill (he died while I was enroute home to his bedside). And now I am in Kuwait and I receive yet a third Red Cross message, and while I have no true emotional ties to her or really care that she has died; the fact that I received the Red Cross message on my deployment has disurbed me greatly.

So I was looking on the internet for somthing cheer myself up, and while I have been under fire - I doubt I would be as calm as Judd was in his story. Once I read this story I said you know what? Maybe my day is not so bad after all....
