Inches, not pounds (when is a plateau not a plateau?)

After losing 50 pounds in 9 months, I plateaued about 3 months ago, so I began eating at maintenance level to reset my metabolism. Since then, I haven't gained or lost any more pounds, but a month ago, I did start to take pilates classes 2-3 times a week.

As of this morning, due to the pilates alone, I have lost 1.5" off my bust, 1" off my waist, 2" off my stomach, 1" off my hips, .5" off my biceps, 1.5" off my thighs. I've also increased my lean body mass (LBM) by 3 pounds and reduced my body fat by .6%. And I've done this while eating at maintenance levels.

And so it goes... ;c)

That is great! You're not just losing inches, you're adding years to your life through exercise. Pilates is great for working out all muscle groups. I haven't been measuring regularly, but I've shrunk out of all my clothes (I gave them to a friend), so I know the inches are going down.

Pilates is great, I found it kept me in shape and helped me OH with his stretching as he's very inflexible, but the class closed and I haven't found one at a convenient time for me. I think that stopping coincided with the new job and the weight gain!

I started C25k & strength training in hopes to break my plateau. My Carb count may vary but not more than 50 & I'm still eating between phase 1 & 2 according to Adkins. We'll see what happens.

No. I feel like my exercise calories probably balance the mistakes I make in counting + all those hidden calories (I eat out a lot). However, I do tend to eat a bit more on those days in general -- since I cycle, I give those days some added protein.
