Mark 10:48-52 NIV

48 Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
49 Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.”
So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling you.” 50 Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus.
51 “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him.
The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.”
52 “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.

Sometimes people will tell us our plan for weight loss is not going to work. I had that experience recently. The person meant well by thinking he was simply being honest with me, but I found it discouraging just the same.

Maybe you have tried in the past and not made your goals. But, just like the man who was healed, he simply needed a fresh encounter of his own with the Messiah.

Take some quiet time this weekend to say, "Lord, I want to see you". He will show Himself to you and lead you to health.

  • I am sorry you met with resistance. It is a tough road to walk as it is because every slip we make he can beat ourselves up on, we don't need others putting doubt in our minds. Be strong, you can loose the weight you want to but you need to keep in mind that you need to take care of yourself. I have a problem putting myself on my to do list and that is part of the reason why I have not been successful in loosing weight. I have been told I need to make more time for myself by many people so I am starting to do that now with baby steps soon it will be habit to take care of me along with everyone else and to say no to more then I can handle and never replace the time I need for me with other things. Here I go making the changes needed to loose weight.
