Yep, getting there...not sure if the deload helped or not as I seem to be waning on the heavier sets this week...will see when it comes to pushing over my last weights. Seems a slow way of increasing, time will tell though how this compares to the stronglifts 5 x5 with madcow added for the stalls...hmmmmmm...I am eating at a deficit so maybe that is why I am not so much struggling, but finding the tank is not as full as it was (less energy for sure!)...

5/3/1 on a cut. How many calories a day deficit are you doing? Jim says that deloads are mandatory in the first edition. But in the second edition he says you can skip them your first couple of cycles because 90% of the actual max produces a training max that is light. But starting light and progressing slowly is the idea of the program.0

I honestly do not count calories, I am eating four meals instead of 6 now...so I guess about 600 or so cals less? I was fine last night on the heavy stuff, must have been having a bad day previously or something, I have been pretty tired lately (started new job)...0
