talking to a recruiter

For those of you who don't know me, I'm Jennifer. My weight loss history is on my profile if you're interested. The important thing to know right now is that I'm not where I need to be at all physically...which leads me to this question. Should I, or should I not, talk to a recruiter right now? Should I wait until I reach the physical standards? Would it be a waste of time if I go? I have a feeling they will just tell me I'm fat and to come back later lol Any thoughts would be appreciated.

  • Hey Jennifer!!! I am in the same boat as you (Although I have a lot more to lose ). I'm terrified to talk to a recruiter right now .....so i've decided to get down to a weight that I know i will personally feel comfortabe with....

My advice is to listen to yourself.....you know where you need to be physically and your working on it (which is great)... I personally feel that talking to a recuriter will be helpful... he/she might be able to give you advice on what you could do to reach your goal!

It never hurts to talk to one and just see what they say. Depending on how close you are they may be useful in helping you lose weight, I know some individuals who have lost a lot of weight going to DEP PT meetings etc., even before swearing in at MEPs. I'm sure a lot of it depends on the recruiting station, how busy they are, and how close you are to the goal. Either way, it will get you an idea of your where you really are vs. where you assume you are, and it will let them know you are interested.
  • Thank you for your advice ladies!
