    Hello everyone! Checking in:

I'm not going to the gym today because I've got tons to do at work. Luckily, it's all house work so I'm not sitting on my @$$. Also, I took my dog for a 30 minute walk just now so that should help a bit. It should be fine though, as I had quite the heavy lifting session yesterday. Proud that I made progress in the heavier weights department, so yay!

I wish everyone the best of luck and an awesome holiday!
  • Today, I taught an hour of Turbo Kick and will be doing P90X2 Plyocide with my hubby. I've been coaching for over a year now for Beachbody and my husband has never committed to doing a program with me until now!! sooo excited to have him on board!!

Have drank lots of water today, and have stuck to a healthy menu all day. Feeling good!

Worked today 12 hour shift on my feet most of the day but no formal exercise. I do park at the far end of the parking lot and I always take the stairs. Fairly healthy choices food wise Drank 6 glasses of water.

A bit disappointed that I didn't do more exercise today but feeling very tired....stayed under calorie goal but want to improve nutrition by eating healthier foods (then maybe I won't be so tired!!)
  • Today is my mobility and recovery day (lots of stretching!) so no rough workout.. My body is needing a day OFF. LOL But, I have stuck to a healthy diet. Getting back into the habit of LOGGING my food is my biggest hang up right now. You?

I'm upping my game today....adding more cardio work and weights to my routine.

The thing I find hardest is sticking to my calories but I'm gradually identifying my weak points (the times when I give in to temptation) and having strategies to deal with this?

Do you guys know your weak spots and what do you do to deal with them?

    Have a healthy day everyone.

Check your Determination to achieve your goals. In order to reach your desired goals, the one thing you need to have the most of is DETERMINATION. You have to want it so bad, you're willing to battle every obstacle that gets in your way. If you don't have determination, you're just wasting time with whatever amount of effort you're putting towards your goals. That is why when we start a Challenge group, I ask you to really visualize your WHY. Tell me WHY you want to participate in a challenge. What will it mean for you to reach your goals? How will it benefit you (in what ways) and how might it also in turn benefit those you love most? (the ripple affect). Of course, don't set any goals to please other people. Set them for yourself, because YOU want it. So tell me, are you determined? Are you will to do what it takes?
  • Are you reaching for your dreams? Aside from getting more fit, what dreams do you have for yourself??

I've eaten absolute rubbish today but so far have stayed within my calorie limit and enjoyed doing some exercise.

Calories are not created equal ;-) 100 calories of candy is not going to benefit your body like 100 calories of fruit. There are vitamins, nutrients, and fiber in fruit (for example) that are not in candy. So, fuel your body for fitness. Treat it like a machine!

so now is the time to get back on it! One thing I've learned on MFP is that we don't get anywhere by giving up and even though my progress isn't anything outstanding it is progress and I feel much fitter and more toned already.....hope this week is better for you. Kat

Overall a good weekend for me. Have stayed within my calorie goals and had to stop myself from exercising today ...as it was my rest day....really felt like doing some more exercise (which is a new feeling for me!). Feeling positive that I can stay within my calorie limit and complete a good exercise programme this week.

Be good if we could encourage a few more folk to join us with this....I think it's a great challenge.

Today I went for a 60 minute walk that was mostly uphill and I had winter boots on which made the going even tougher. I added another set to my weights. And I tried a shakeology shake...not sure if I like it Kacey! Food is under control today!

Colleen!! LOL you have one of the most amazing, and convenient food sources at your finger tips with Shakeology ;-) Seriously, with it being 100% organic, wholefoods with over 70 fruits and veggies in there, just ONE shake a day will deliver all of the essential nutrients your body needs to function and heal..It's even proven to help balance hormones, reduce stress, and so much more. http://youtu.be/4OKJIXxtJh8 Check out this video to learn more about some of the ingredients in it.

When you have days like that, having an easy to grab meal is important. When you don't eat, you are starving your body of the FUEL it NEEDS To function for every day demands, nevermind exercise. There are lots of ways to incorporate easy to grab foods into your day. Have you ever heard of Mason Jar meals before??http://www.preparewise.com/shop/index.php/mason-jar-meal-recipes Here's one website I found, full of great ideas!!

How are you doing this week? :)
  • Are you willing to get uncomfortable? To push yourself outside of your own limits?? Here's the thing - CHANGE will only happen when you force yourself to be CHALLENGED. Challenge yourself to push out one more rep for example.. When you hit failure where you can't possibly do one more lap around the track, one more push up, one more pull up, one for squat.. One more bicep curl.. when you can't physically do just ONE more - you're at the point where CHANGE will happen. If you're comfortable, and barely breaking a sweat, guess what?? You're not going to lose weight. You're not going to see the results you're seeking. Your heart will stay in great shape but your body won't burn the excess fat.

Good eating & exercise day. Really trying not to slip until Thanksgiving day & get right back on track. Need some fast, high calorie burning, workouts. Any suggestions?
