Well the month is half way over! I am not exactly where I wanted to be mileage wise but that is ok, I will just have to start working harder! I did notice that a lot of you are doing great at getting the miles in! Good job everyone!!! I am curious as to how everyone else is getting the miles in, are you on a treadmill, using a dvd, or outside? I am trying to do all my miles outside which is why it has been difficult because it gets dark so early and I work from 8am till 4:30pm. Before work I am getting 2 kids and myself ready for the day and after work it is already dark outside! I usually just run in the dark with bright colors on but after 2 miles (which is our subdivision) I don't feel safe going any further than that, so I guess I need to just do laps in my subdivision. But anyway no more excuses, I have to put my big girl panties on and do the work!!

Hi krissy- I'm not exactly where I want to be in miles either but it felt good to log in four miles yesterday so I am motivated to put in even more today. I love seeing the numbers line up and I tell myself while I'm running "Do you want to put in 3 or do do you want to put in 4?" It helps me push a little further. I joined a gym this week because the early darkness messes with my motivation and kinda creeps me out so its just easier to run where I feel safe. I'm looking forward to getting there tonight... maybe I can push myself to do 4.5! Cheers!0

I'm also out of the house from dark to dark - I hate winter! I am working out on a treadmill during the week and try to get outside on the weekends. I'm training for a 1/2 marathon on December 2nd, so will get my last big mile walk in tomorrow, and then taper off. I love seeing the numbers going up and up - well done to everyone!0

I run outside when I can--daylight on weekends. Otherwise, I'm on a treadmill. Also, I'm counting stationary bike miles. I'm behind, it's been a difficult week for me. My son broke a finger and there are problems with the bone. Going downtown Chicago Monday to bone specialist. Praying for better news.0

Krissy .. I do a combo of running outside and on the treadmill at the Y but mostly outside yet before the temps get to much colder. I'm really blessed to have some running buddies .. my girlfriend, sister and dad. So I always have a new buddy to run with .. love it! Also, am able to get up before the sunrise to get my run in, on most days. Not sure if you have a neighbor or friend nearby, but that might be a way to keep running outside and doing it with somebody always keeps you accountable to being there for someone else.
IrshRnr good luck to your son on Monday. Hope the appointment gives you some positive news.
Honeycat ... good luck on your upcoming 1/2 Marathon! How exciting !! I'm hoping to achieve that in 2013.
Teerandell ... I agree with you. If you push through mile 3 you all of sudden have 4 and then push through 4 and you'll have
5. It's so rewarding when you are able to achieve another mile on your ladder of running Great work!
Have a great week everybody!0
