Navigating the Holidays

I'm going to use my holiday/travel time to break this pesky plateau. If you're interested in trying it, here's an easy explanation --

Go here: http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/bmr/

Half-way down the page on the right, play audio clip #2: Break Weight Loss Plateaus.

I'm going to let my weeks away be "reset" weeks -- eating at around maintenance -- and then cut back hard after New Year's to get it going again.

2013 for me is the year of inching off those last 20 pounds and getting maintenance underway for good. Calorie cycling (zig-zagging) is key to my permanent strategy. I think the next 6 weeks will kick it off nicely while allowing me to enjoy my holidays.

What's your plan?

Good for you, Alice! I'm going to just ramp up my exercise (which I love to do). This info couldn't have come at a better time for me. My advice is "Don't starve yourself through this. Love yourself through this."

Thanks for posting ......Very good audio clip.

I'd heard that eating less and exercising more would work; however this has never worked for me in the past.

I like one of the audio clips suggestions, “Eat at your maintenance level or slightly more and trick/fool your body into thinking you are not dieting”. This sounds reasonable and should work for me.
