Sorry, I won't be posting food porn later, but we are having the standard stuff, I think. I'm doing something different and taking a black bean dip so I can fill up on healthy stuff a little before the meal. My mother is making the dressing and a chocolate iced pound cake. My cousin's husband is making the turkey. Everyone else is bringing casseroles or desserts (likely another cake and 3 or 4 pies). We will also have rolls (my son's favorite part of the meal) and cranberry sauce (mine).

Hope you and your family and have wonderful day!

Since it was just my husband and I, we had turkey, spinach salad, cranberry relish and I added olives and a baked potato to my husbands meal. I have a mini apple pie and single serve of vanilla ice cream for his dessert later.

I ate a molasses cookie , but it didn't taste that great.

I am thankful I want my health more than recreational food, but more than happy to let everyone else enjoy!

    Happy Thanksgiving!

The day I cook such a big meal I don't feel like eating much, so this year I just made sure we didn't have much leftovers! worked great. I didn't go over my calories Sunday when we had our Thanksgiving. Today for just my husband and me I fixed a nice chuck roast packed with carrots, onions and celery. I'm a pumpkin pie slut though, so made an alternative this week instead of having the actual pie. Think I like my pumpkin custard better :o)

Happy Thanksgiving!! We had turkey and dressing, of course. And mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, pistachio pudding, and pumpkin pie. I only had the turkey, green beans and broccoli. I made a low carb pumpkin pie just for me. I had a small bite of potatoes and pudding (less than a tablespoon). I only went over my carbs by 4 so I'd say it was a great day, food wise and time spent with family!! My hubby and I went for a walk after dinner. Just a great day!

Hope all you ladies had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday.

Are you all doing the Black Friday thing now?
  • Hope everyone's Thanksgiving was enjoyable. We had all standard fare: turkey, sweet potatoes, stuffing, mashed potatoes, squash, turnips, carrots and corn. All very delicious. Lots of walking and shopping today to hopefully burn it all off! Enjoy the weekend everyone!
