One of the pictures, which was posted on Facebook, shows what appears to be a female stripper straddling a teenager. Her legs wrapped tightly around his face.
It happened at Spare Time bowling alley in South Glens Falls.
Parents of a child who was turning 16 apparently hired two strippers as a birthday present and invited the boy's friends---boys and girls--- to the surprise party.
It seems the parents of the guests got a huge unwelcome surprise when they found out what happened.
A person claiming to be the mother of a 15-year-old who attended the party, sent a letter to The Post-Star, anonymously, saying she was shocked when her son told her about the lap dances given to teens.
"Obviously we're very concerned about this kind of conduct if it happened the way we believe it happened," said Jim Murphy, Saratoga County District Attorney.
News Channel 13 is not identifying the parents who apparently hired the strippers because charges haven't been filed. At least not yet.
"I can't imagine that a parent would participate in the arrangement of that, but yes, if a parent was involved in the arrangement of this, strippers at a 16-year-old birthday party, then potentially he or she could be charged with endangering the welfare of a child," Murphy said.
The D.A. says it appears the party was in a private room at the bowling alley. And if it's true, and Spare Time allowed it to happen, they could be in trouble with the State Liquor Authority.
Employees at the bowling alley weren't talking when NewsChannel 13 visited there Wednesday.
We also contacted Tops In Bottoms, the company that provided the strippers. The D.A. says the strippers could face charges for having sexual contact with minors.
The company promised to get back to us, but did not.
The family who threw the party referred comment to their attorney, Joseph Brennan of Queensbury, but as of Wednesday evening he had not returned our calls.

This is going to make me sound old, but what happen to the good ole days when 16 year old guys had to find out how to get a fake ID and drive 45 minutes to a strip club. Parents were the obstacle, and if they found out, your *kitten* was toast. They sure as hell didn't help you find the stripper.0

First I think the parents are crazy if they facilitated this. Now that that is out of the way....
I looked at the article and the picture brought back a really terrible memory...
Back when I was young and stupid (I am older now) my friends and I would go to this all nude strip joint and have a "bachelor" party for one of the people with us. On the night it was my bachelor party I was on the stage and the girl who was completely nude was on top of me exactly like that picture. A photo was taken and given to me and that was the end of it. When I got home I put the photo in some random book and forgot about it.
About 5 years later I was moving and my mother came by to help. She came across the book and the picture fell out on her lap... My poor mother

When we were teens we used to drink and party and our parent were never the wiser. Everybody knew which kids had the cool or inatentive parent that was so lame they let you do whatever and would by the smokes or drinks for you. Our parents never knew who was that weird parent.Apperantly we were just better sneaks0 -

In this day and age, unless they're on drugs, most strippers are not "exploited". I've personally known several strippers (being a gay man, I tend to attract women like flies) and most of them really DO use it to either A) get ahead to further themselves into something else, or
enjoy it and want to continue.
There ARE those that are out there, addicted. But they're much more rare than they were. Pornography is an iffy subject as well, considering you are now seeing how empowering it can be for some women. Unfortunately, there are much higher cases of addicts in porn just trying to get their next fix. That goes for both males and females, btw. Not just women. Especially in gay porn.0 -

I think we have departed from the original debate of this article, but it seems a good one. I think the problem, Robert, is that you have a vastly different view of erotica and sexuality as many other people on these forums. Human sexuality is very complicated, and I agree, there is exploitation rampant. But we have to be able to divorce people who willingly work as prostitutes, stirppers, and porn stars from those who are sex-slaves.
There is no denying that there is a real problem in this world with the exploitation of women and children who are forced into sex acts against there will. I know of no one who would ever disagree with that except for the criminal element in our societies. But I do not think that a woman who choses and rather enjoys sexuality is being exploited in anyway. With that, I am willing to concede that there is a grey area in tough economic times where women who might be on the verge of economic ruin might feel like the sex trade is her only option, as well as addicts and such.
But I fail to see the connection of sexuality to morality. Seems to me that most of peoples views on sexuality come from an antiquated view point handed down to us from ancient middle eastern people that had many, many strange ideas, at least to me. I try and not to assume the basis on what you have formed your opinions, if it is in fact religious. But if you take away the whole idea of "because god said so", I can not for the life of me think of any reason any form of consensual sex or erotica should be linked to morality. Seems to me that much of what we think of today as far as sexual values came from an ancient tradition of repressing women.0 -
How did this become an exploitation thing? Women in our society are still not equal, it's true. We're fed all kinds of poisonous bull crap by the media, that's true, too. But stripping is no more exploitative of the women doing it than the men who are silly enough to pay money to see it. It's just a symptom of a messed up society and maybe a messed up species.0
