Hi - I'm (very) new, just having started today.......

I bought the Nook version of CTL for my Nook last week and am wondering if anyone else has it or knows if it's an abridged version? I feel like I have the basics, but very few recipes and other detailed info.

Thanks in advance for any information!

I do have it on my NOOK as well. Think I have it all but have not seen a printed copy to compare. I did go on-line and print out food lists/grocery list so I would have paper copy for my purse for shopping.

If the Nook can handle PDFs then you may want something like

The actual book is only 202 pages... and very few recipies. In my personal opinion the recipies given are more for a guideline for the types of combinations & quantities that would be appropriate. I don't think there is an abridged version... but I could be wrong.

That's still been a sticking point for me, I let the "lack of direction" get to me. I'm just starting to use the pdf and make better meal choices, if it's on the pdf and it's the right type of day it's "free-game".
Takes some adjusting though as "most diets" seem to be more a "hard calorie count" while this one is high carb / low carb alternating, but doesn't really give you a calorie goal to base it on.
  • Thank you all for the replies!! I will print the pdf's for help. I think I agree - it's just a slightly different kind of diet (yes, I've tried them all:)) and I'm sure I'll get used to it.

I've gotten most of the way through the first day and feel pretty comfortable about what I've eaten. I think after the few couple of days, I'll have a better feel about what I can put together to eat and still be within the guidelines.

Thanks again!!! This is a great board.
