hi, may I ask what is this celebration of Christ the King?
im a catholic convert and converted 20 yrs ago cause I married a catholic and the catholic faith always drew my attention like if I knew deep down inside it was the real church founded by Jesus, but was just cafeteria catholic just going to mass when we remembered or had time( how sad) its just been like since 1 1/2 years Im really learning and living the faith, its so beautiful, rich in tradition and Holy and most important we have Jesus present in Eucarist.

Also, I went to a Traditional Latin Mass in Miami,it was awesome, I would close my eyes and listen to the priest speaking in Latin and the Gregorian Chant ,it felt like being in heaven, and what reverence,u could hear a pin drop! and the Holy Comunion ,everyone on their knees and taking it on the tongue, beautiful! beautiful!

The celebration of Christ the King takes place the week before Advent. There are three different Gospel readings, depending upon the 3-year liturgical cycle. So it took place this past Sunday as Advent starts Dec 2. This year's reading was of Jesus before Pilate, where Pilate asks him if he is king of the Jews, and Jesus says that his Kingdom is not of this world. Catholic tradition is quite rich. There are some good blogs out there that can really help you go deeper, according to what your interests are.
