Hey!
Is anyone currently playing this game? So far I'm really enjoying it. It feels like "What Diablo3 was supposed to be" in many ways.
Curious who is out there.

Have not played this or the first one, but it looks like a ton of fun. Love the style/character design.
BF is actually upgrading both computers so we can finally play Diablo 3 (purchased when it came out, collector's edition even, still haven't tried it). Will probably play that first...I will look up more info on Torchlight 2 for sure, though.0 -
So far the reviews from my friends is that it is a giant pile of *kitten* that is boring to look at (some people find it intriguing to stare at their own *kitten*, me included)
One of the friends friend is a graphics artist for Runic games and from what I hear, they're not really putting a lot of efforts in making the game more interesting (primarily, making it an interesting piece of *kitten* rather than a boring one to look at)0 -
^ LOL
The graphics are cartoony, that's for sure. I'm really enjoying it so far though, but we'll see how things are at endgame.
For what it's worth I also enjoyed grinding in D3 but once I hit 60 and made it to inferno the game just got boring as all hell and I hated it.0 -
Thats the thing, these games have SUCKY end games. The initial grind is all cool and all but if you're a serious gamer, you're done with that in a day or so and then what? Back to playing with yourself watching porn?0

I have it, but haven't started playing it yet. Planned for later this week to start it.
It was a deal, 19.99 for Torchlight 1 and 2 when I bought it. Hopefully it's entertaining. I liked the walkthrough video review of the game reviewer dying and dying and dying again at one battle.....and him getting increasingly frustrated.....I thought it was funny it since it was 'You keep doing the exact same thing over and over again and expect a different outcome?'0 -
OK OK I get the point0

I haven't picked it up yet but I was surprised by how much I liked the first one, so I've been intending to grab it. I just havent had time for it yet. Really, I have no idea when I'm going to make time for it. Might be a while.0

Yep! I'm enjoying it so far For $20, bang for one's buck achieved!
You lasted longer than I did in D3 though... Sure it's pretty, but f'n boring lol0 -
Just an FYI. It's still 1/2 price: http://store.steampowered.com/app/200710/0

I basically did the same as sidesteel. Got to Inferno and then thought "oh FFS I'm done with this crap"0 -

Pretty much everybody I know did that. That game was waaayyyyy hyped out for something that got beat in a day (?). I am very glad that I didn't wasted my coins on it0 -

Took me a lot longer than a day (no free time) and it *was* fun and looked really nice but it was not 60 dollars of fun. If you like the TYPE of game, its pretty enjoyable. Its just not "rush out and get it, 60 dollars of fun!" enjoyable. the class mechanics were enjoyable for most people. But class mechanics only last so long. So if you DO like that type of game you might as well pay 15 dollars for torchlight and get the same basics for, oh, 1/4 the price?0 -
A friend bought this game for me on steam, and i'd downloaded it but I haven't get the time to play it yet0

I used to play TL2, haven't for a few weeks now. For some reason it wasn't fun to me anymore once I reached level 100. I guess the grind got boring to me.
TL2 Pros imo: I liked that it had the stat/skill system that Diablo 2 basically has. Uniques actually dropped (as opposed to Diablo 3). I actually felt powerful and wrecked stuff pretty easy (vs. getting 1 shot in D3's inferno mode all day). I was able to find good enough gear on my own to do well in Veteran/Elite mode once I hit 100 (never had to trade for gear).
I've been contemplating whether or not I should play Diablo 3 again, and even WoW since MoP is on sale for $20 until the 29th.
So bored. So very bored.

I got D3 when it came out, hit 60 on my barb and stopped playing for a bit. Tried out TL2, but it doesn't feel as polished and I don't like the classes in it. I tried D3 again recently, and its a little better, but stul kinda boring. So right now i'm back to playing LoL.0
