for me:
Topping
flogging someone... depending on how long the scene the is or how many different scenes I do in one night.... my arms want to fall off.
shibari.... little ity bity designs made from 100ft of rope pulling that thru is worse than the rowing machine and you still have to until them when you are done (at least you should)
Bottoming:
Holding the cross for a good hour my legs feel the burn on that.

I agree completely, with both bottoming and topping!
The day after I bottom an intense scene (especially being handcuffed to St. Andrew's cross, since I am so short) my legs burn as well. It's like a core/lower body workout, just trying to balance as I am being struck.
I tend to feel the burn in my back/ upper body, after a good topping scene. This may be because I am still learning to top, while I've had much more experience with bottoming!0
