It's too hot for me, even in the mornings but I'm game once the weather cools down.

Sweet I'll send you an invite. Yeah even in the mornings the temperature picks up pretty fast...maybe more towards the fall/winter

Nice we might be able to get a bigger group towards winter hopefully.
  • That would be great! We live close to the mountain.

You will start out on Dessert classic which is very beginner friendly. You can either join me with the climb to the Buena Vista point or continue the loop back to the car. The climb to the point is moderate level hiking, but you climb over one range, then lower back into a valley and then have to climb back out again to reach the point.

I still go out an hike every other weekend. This weekend I will be going on Sunday morning about 9 to let it heat up a little bit. I am planing to do ridge-line trail, but starting at the 46th street trail head instead of the Pima.
  • I do not know where the 46th street trail head is. I will look it up.

From baseline road go south at 46th street, there is a light. You will come to the canal with a dead end straight ahead and a street off to the right. Go straight and park in the parking lot at the end of the road.
