Where do you get your gear? Which sites, stores, etc?

I know you don't need SPECIAL gear as a beginner runner, but I feel that in the winter, I do. I hate being cold, it's hard to get me to even leave the house in the winter if I'm not heading to work so to get me out to run, I need to be comfortable.

Thanks for any feedback :)

I mostly get my stuff at a local running store. If you do nothing else get fitted for shoes at a running store it can make a big difference

I get some of my running gear at Target - their Champion brand has some good stuff. I have some long underwear that I use as tights that are made out of wicking technical material with matching top and bottom it is great first layer. If I don't get it at Target I usually try to hit the outlet mall with either Nike or Under Armour outlet stores. Sometimes you can find some really great deals. I do agree that you should get your shoes fitted at a specialty running store at least once or twice to figure out what brand fits you best.

I get most of my gear either at running store or ****s Sporting Goods. However, Target has some great stuff, too. And I also recently got a bright pink running jacket at JCPenney and it is super comfortable to wear!

I get most of my gear at Target. They change out their line enough that I can find a new piece every few months. I bought my lined running pants from Eastbay.

I travel to Tupelo, MS (I live in Columbus, MS) and seeing as there aren't any Target's in Columbus, I have to go to Tupelo to get to one (an hour North of where I live). Anyway, since I am in Tupelo, there is a ****'s Sporting Goods there and they usually have some great sales! If ****'s isn't having any sales, THEN I go to Target. Either place I can find some nice stuff.
