Do you all just wear bigger underwear, or have you purchased maternity panties? If so, where?
I remember buying some from Old Navy last time, but they were inexpensive (which was good because I wasn't going to wear them for very long) and fell apart before too long. As such, I will need to buy new ones, but Old Navy doesn't sell them anymore. The Gap does, but they are pretty expensive for what they are.
I just can't justify $10/pair, and I'm not sure if I could make do buying a multipack of big panties at the Hanes outlet.
Thoughts?

Honestly, during my first pregnancy, more than 5 years ago, I stopped wearing panties because I found the maternity panties uncomfortable, and I haven't worn panties since (unless I am wearing a dress). Pregnant or not I have discovered that commando is waaay more comfortable.0

I bought some three-packs at Motherhood Maternity (the bikini ones) that I really like (cute-ish and held their shape and everything). They ended up being like $5/pair, and I have worn them from week 20, so I feel like I've gotten my money's worth. They'll also be the "disposable" panties I wear postpartum...Stay away from the Pea in the Pod panties. They are more expensive, and (at least I found this to be the case) started coming apart after the first wash0

Looks like some of the styles are on sale right now too:

I still wear my VS and other regular panties, just a bit low rise. I've had to buy some bigger ones because the small ones might cut off my circulation lol but I haven't bought any maternity panties.0

I just pull mine below the belly in the front. What are "maternity" panties?0

I just pull mine below the belly in the front. What are "maternity" panties?
They are panties that are a little fuller in the bum, and cut low in the front. They tend to have wider waistbands with less elastic to minimize any digging in.
I mostly wore my old "fat panties" during the latter part of my pregnancy, but the few maternity panties I bought were way more comfortable. I considered buying Hanes, etc, before going the maternity panty route, but the packages I found all had the type of elastic waist that I always find uncomfortable, and I didn't want to buy 6 pairs of undies without being able to try them on first.
Maternity panties aren't necessary like some other clothing items are, but they do help prevent wedgies. :laugh:0 -

Yeah, even my bedtime panties (granny panties), which used to be big on me, are starting to give me wedgies, and the elastic in the front is just cutting in to where the top of my uterus is. It's starting to get uncomfortable. I think I have some bigger panties from my weight loss, but (sorry TMI) I tend to wear thongs during the day. Last time I was pregnant, I did the same, but I have a feeling I will be wearing more dresses, which means I'll probably switch to butt huggers (so comfy).0 -

Thanks for this and for the advice to stay away from A Pea in the Pod. Their stuff is so expensive, so I tend to stay away anyhow!
It looks like they're about $5/pair, which I don't mind spending, and they're BOGO 50% off, so they'll come out to $3.75/pair. Not bad at all.
It looks like they have a ton of styles, too, which is awesome!!!0 -
I bought maternity panties from Thyme Maternity, but it maybe a Canadian maternity chain.
I like the foldabe front panel ones. You can fold it down , in which case it goes below the belly. Or you can fold it up and cover a big part of your belly for extra support and warmth. I like it because I live on a cold climate and I like the support as well.
It looks like this:

It is not cheap $10 per pr, but they constantly ave a buy to get one free thing going on, and the store often have additional promotion.0 -

I will definitely check this out! Right now during the day I am having issues with my panties rolling down under my newly formed mini-belly. Which means what's above it kind of bounces around when I wear dresses (which is often). I had that problem last time, too. I'd appreciate something that covers me in front when I am not wearing full-panel pants/skirts! I would pay $10/pair for something like that, since I would only need two or three.
ETA that apparently you can buy this brand in the US via Babies 'R Us.0 -
I have been wearing my older victorias secret underwear. I have about 6 pairs that were old and in danger of being pitched. i have just been wearing them and wil get some new ones once the pregnancy is over. These were all low cut so i havent had any issue with my belly making them roll. honestly i think those who have been wearing underwear that comes up higher on the waist would save alot of money by just buying cheap low rise underwear at walmart or target. Seems like they would do the job just as good as maternity underwear0
