Just curious about what job y'all are hoping to get when you join...

My first choice is to get a FTS (full time support) HM (hospital corpsman) for the reserves.
I've heard it's kind of rare to get the FTS (basically active reserves) so if not I'd settle just to get HM.

I'd also like to get the FMF (fleet marine force) side of it but I'm not sure if that's offered to reservists. If not then I'm open to medical or dental side as both will translate to the civilian world pretty easily.

My second choice is MC (mass communications).
My third would be MA (master at arms)

If none are an option I will probably cry and pick something like IT or something.

I WILL NOT PICK FC OR ET though. Husband was an FC and hated it... If he hated it I'm pretty sure I will too lol! And ET is the sister rate to FC. They both belong to the AECF program.

Anyway what job do you want??

    I'm going for MA (Master at Arms) as a first choice then my backup choices are QM (Quarter Master), OS (Operations Specialist) or IS (Intelligence Specialist).

    If the nurse corps does not work out...I am interested in Air-Traffic Controller (AC), Cryptologic Technician (CT), Intelligence Specialist (IS), Hospital Corpsman (HM), or Quartermaster (QM).

    I DO NOT want Aviation Boatswain's Mate (AB) or any of the construction ratings lol. Actually there are quite a few aviation ratings that do not interest me at all and I wouldn't like. But I feel like I have a good list going on of things I do like :)

    Yeah... anything that involves math or electronics haha! I actually wouldn't mind sub-life (if non-officer-females were allowed) ... but no... I'm pretty much open to anything.. as long as I can travel (or afford too during leave) I'm happy ^_^

    I could never handle subs. To be honest I didn't want my husband to switch to subs!

    i got Operations Specialist i want to switch to Master At Arms
    My first day i ever talked to my recruiter I told him I only want Operation Specialist or Master At Arms
    I wouldn't want to be any technician or Mechanic ***not for me***
