Water

So, I have to go to the bathroom every 15-30 minutes even when I'm not drinking much. This has caused me to drink less. Which has increased the Braxton Hicks. I really need to start drinking more, but I don't have time to go to the bathroom any more! :ohwell:

I hear ya! My Dr wants me to drink between 11-16 glasses of water a day. But, there are two issues with this. The first is that I get so full from the water (b/c I have no more room in there) and that much water makes me feel sick. The second is that I can't stop peeing!!! I now just stick to drinking 8 glasses a day. I still have to pee all the time though. I guess this is just part of the frustrations of pregnancy. LOL0

Drinking plenty of water is great for milk production if you plan to nurse. The excessive peeing is annoying, but it's worth it and so good for you! Hang in there, ladies!0

I had this issue all throughout my 1st trimester. The only liquid I could hold down was Coke. Not the best thing for you but I really had no other option...water would come right back up (I couldn't even handle ice chips). Luckily, they got me on some good meds and by the 2nd trimester I was all good. I hope it gets better for you..I know how rough it can be.0 -

Sorry, I assume you are in your first trimester? It does get better, even though it seems like it won't.
I was actually the opposite. Water was the only thing I could drink during first tri. I bought ginger ale thinking it would help with the naseau, but it only made me sicker.0 -
I'm 15 weeks, just started my second trimester! Definitely still nauseated/sick a lot, but I've kept at least 4 cups of water down today for the past few days. Hopefully it's getting better!0

My nauseau got considerably better at 16 weeks. Just hang in there!0 -
I'm at 8 weeks and I'm peeing ALL the time too. When I talked to my doc about it she said it's bc your hormons are going crazy, creating your blood flow to be faster and there for making the liquids travel to your kidney's that much faster too. She expressed how important it is to NOT skimp out on water just bc of annoying bathroom breaks. I hear the peeing stops for the 2nd trimester but flares up again in the 3rd when baby bounces on bladder haha.0
