I know we are missing a few! Sorry I didn't post yesterday, my parents are coming and I was busy scrubbing my house!
(You know how it is, when mom comes to visit...)
Try to weigh-in if you can this week! I understand Christmas is around the corner and people are busy!
While the season is upon us, its really hard to make good choices. The food is hearty, comforting, and full of sneaky calories. Its cold, so we (instinctually) eat more so that we can survive the winters. But, modern days don't require us to eat and fatten up anymore, we have electricity, warm clothing, etc. to help us with winter!
This week's challenge:
-Make smart choices. Resist the foods you don't need. We are going to be having parties, celebrations, and reunions, and of course, food is the central part of the festivities! If you doubt yourself, there are some tricks to beat the calorie meltdown:
* Eat at home before going to the party!
* Make a low-calories/healthy dish to bring to your festivities so that YOU (and your loved ones!) have an alternative to eat healthy foods.
* Don't completely deprive yourself of anything. If you want a piece of pie, go ahead and have it, just don't go overboard! The key to binging is not allowing yourself to have anything.
* Remember to enjoy yourself!
Weekly Discussion:
What is your favorite thing about the holidays?
Is there a food that reminds you of the holiday season that you cannot live without?
Do you have any helpful tricks/tips that have worked for you in the past that you can share?
HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Weighing in at 282.6 today. Done almost 3 pounds this month. Not what I wanted but it is down so that's a plus considering I haven't really been trying very hard.0

My parents had visited this week, they left today. I was able to maintain while my mom cooked all that amazing puerto rican food! YUM! Proud of myself lol
1. My favorite thing about the Holidays is the music. I love to sing them all the time! I also just love all the lights! Everything about the holiday season is so magical!
2. I love this particular drink called Coquito! Its like an eggnog, without the egg. Its coconut milk, coconut cream, and rum with a bunch of other ingredients, like ginger. its so Christmas.
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!0 -
I am still stuck at 137! This plateau seems unbreakable! I am eating at calorie and doing great with workouts. I think my body wants to stay here and stay fattened up for the Winter. Ugh! :grumble:
1. My favorite thing about Christmas is time with my kids carrying on traditions, making new ones.
2. Hot chocolate with roasted marshmallows in front of the fireplace. And eggnog with rum! Yum! :drinker:
Merry Christmas!0
