I've been doing SL for about 3 months news, with steady, but slow progress. I find I can increase weights weekly (rather than per workout). Here's how I'm ending the year, would live to see how others are doing to set realistic goals for the upcoming months. Thanks

I completed my first 12-week course of Stronglifts. Had to modify to 3x5 and deload a few times on some of the exercises but my final numbers were:
Squat: 140 lbs
BP: 80.5 lbs
Row: 66 lbs
OHP: 62 lbs
DL: 145 lbs
I have now started Wendler's based on my 1 RM from Stronglifts. Looking forward to a change for a little bit and am enjoying it so far.

Since I lost my phone I no longer have my records from when I was still doing SL 5x5 but if i recall correctly, it was:
Squat 150
BP 85
Row 80
OHP 65
DL 175
And then at that point all the volume was just xhausting and while I have the personality type to just dig in and grind through it my husband whined like CRAZY so we switched to an intermediate program (Also Wendlers).
With Wendler's the highest amount of work I'll have completed by the end of the year is:
Squat: 157.5 (I had some setbacks on my squats)
Bench: 100
DL 175 (ditto, setbacks)
OHP 75
^^ So that's about 11 months of lifting total, but it includes several weeks off, and what has become a zero deficit end of the year.
What I'm thinking now, for goal setting, is to set some numbers I'm SURE I can hit next year and just document how long it takes me. So some I might not get til the end of hte year, and some I might get mid year.0 -
After 12 weeks...
Squat 160
BP 100
Row 105
OHP 70
DL 160
I'd been lifting with machines for a year and then putzing around with free weights for about 2 months before starting it, though.0 -
You all are awesome. I WILL bench press 100 in 2012. And will check out Wendlers. Thanks!0
