I've seen up to season 3 because I have to wait until the dvd box set comes out, but I love it, the story lines and the characters!
Does anyone else watch?
Sorry if there's a post like this else where, I did look but couldn't spot one!

I like it! I'm always a season behind because I get it on Netflix. I need to refresh before the next season comes out, hopefully soon,

Hubby and daughter love it, i refuse to watch it, gives me nightmares. and i call Joshua jackson 'Pacey' just cause it annoys my daughter who's too young to remember dawson's creek.

everyone but us, we watched like 4 episodes of season 1 (back hwen season 2 was coming out and people were all 'omg this is the best!') and we go to the episode where the MUSCLE relaxant caused the dead lady's eye NERVES to retain an IMAGE of what she last saw, and we were like "......."

But other people tell us its great, we just couldn't get past that.

Funny you should say that, my husband and I have a LOT of conversations about plausibility while watching it, lol!

The point of the show is not realism, its a complete fantasy/sci-fi world. None of the real world rules apply........

No see, that' the thing, we follow the rule of "you get 1 leap" - so you can make one leap in premise, which in the case of that episode (at least) is that you can pull images off someone's electrical impulses from their eye? Recreate them or whatever. But ....muscle relaxants. Nerves. Not...at all the same thing. At all. They could have just NOT mentioned it and I would have let it go.

we were fine with like "ohhh these people get in a magic box and then they can share dreams" <-- that type of leap is fine.

*edit* For example - magic device that makes all water super heat instantly, totally fine. For some reason this device ALSO doesn't boil say, all the water in the human body though, just the water on the ground and in pipes. Not totally fine. Or, Cell phones often have gps tracking and remote capabilities! Fine. All cell phones have these things and somehow a majority of phones can be updated or replaced in a several month period to allow you to find someone in an abandoned building. Not totally fine. And finally. Nuclear fusion does not work that way, good night. (although this one was better as it just had ONE magic - magic science russian man).

And for the record, we do like the batman movies, but we find it hilarious that every one has one super gaping technology hole. (PS the 1 leap you get in batman is super billionaire with ultra neat devices, it actually encompasses a lot and is very forgiving)

I can be quite pedantic about my science fiction, but for some reason I forgive Fringe totally for any tweeking and twisting and psudo science!
It is one show I actually watch, as opposed to listening to whilst sewing or ironing, it's just really engaging. My friends are in two camps, either love it or hate it, and the body swapping gadget makes me cringe every time they use it, and I love the alt Walter and alt Olivia too!
The 80's style episodes are quite entertaining!

I love Fringe. So sad that it is ending, but I'd rather watch Doctor Who any day of the week.

I know plenty of people that watch it. I find I can't really watch it much. I graduated with the lady who plays Alastor(?!). Jaskia. So all I do is think "I know you... I know you" She isn't a main character but still. I also get freaked out easily so I avoid it.

I just started watching season 4 on dvd! I was totally confused and had to watch the last disc of season 3! So there is another reality where they have the ability to cross over to a different time line! Oh! Now I get it!!!

What I don't get is that the alt people all have the same manes as the original people! I mean, when i had my son I narrowed it down to 2 names for him. I was going to call hi Christopher but one of the nurses said '' Oh, we've had 34 Christophers through here this month!'' So I called him Nicholas. So in another reality I might not have had that conversation and would have called him Christopher!!

    I absolutely love it!
I am just terrified to think that it will end soon:sad:
I really like this last season, even if it's pretty dramatic:p, hope the last episode will be as great as the whole series...
What are you going to watch after Fringe?
Because I can't find anything like it...

There's a serious lack of sci fi around at the moment! 10 years ago I could watch a different sci fi show each night and get my fix! But now there's nothing much!

I watch Supernatural, Grimm, NCIS-LA, White Collar, Burn notice but none of them are sci fi!!

    Anybody got any good suggestions?
