It is a single club where you can do activities. I registered for rock climbing at the end of the month and I was wondering if anyone tried this. Not sure if it is the way to meet mr right but it look like a load of fun and a great way to meet people.

I haven't tried that one, but I love meetup.com. I met my boyfriend at an event over the summer. I really preferred it to online dating. I also met some fun new girlfriends to hang out with!0

It sounds like it might be like the "events and adventures" thing I hear ads for around here. But I don't know much about the one here, and hadn't even heard of the "meetmarketadventures".0

That is good!
I had a friend who wanted to do events and adventures. When she heard the price she left!0 -

Probably a better choice than the standard bar mix n mingle events that most general interest meetup groups run. Would you agree?0 -

I just think what he meant was the better meetup groups to actually meet someone is through a group with similar interest then a group of singles that just go to bars to meet singles. I haven't met someone I want to date but I have made good friends and other people have matched up through a meetup group I belong to that has nothing to do with being single.0 -

I know what he means, but it's getting awfully old to constantly have the statements that his preferred methods are soooo superior (friend of friends and meeting through real life), while everything else is crap. It's repeated over. And over. And over.
We get it. You don't like online dating and bars, but a lot of people do them and they work just fine for a LOT of the population. So when one person has success using a "preferred" method we get the smarmy "Oooh isn't it just SOOOOO much better?" despite the many many people on this forum that have had success online or in bars.

Yeah, I personally get tired of reading folks who haven't had an SO in awhile bash what worked for me (and will likely work again in the future should I ever become single again).0

I admire everyone brave enough to online date!! You all are very courageous!
I think everyone has something going from them. As as long as it works we should just let it be.0 -
I was looking for singles groups in Alberta, just to get out and do stuff becuase I am social and sometimes my friends aren't LOL!
I saw the meetmarketadventures website and they had some neat events to sign up for, but I fear I may be too shy for it.
If I could get a friend to come along for the first one, maybe....
I think you can meet people by any means, whatever makes you comfortable.
me, I can online date no problem, but the thought of speed dating somewhat scares me.0 -
