Small accomplishment

I just had to share a very small accomplishment, was excited and needed to share with someone.

This morning I took a walk that is about a mile and half. In the past, when taking this walk i have finished it out of breath and very sore. After this mornings walk I was not out of breath and felt engerized for the day.

As I said small, but made me feel good about the progress (no matter how small) I have made.

Please share an accomplishment you had for the week.

    THAT'S AWESOME!!!! :flowerforyou: :drinker:

It's all about taking those baby steps every day and building our fitness levels one step at a time!

I'm experiencing somethig similar with my running, well jogging. About 2-21/2 years ago I could run 4-5 miles several times a week. Now, I can't even WALK that distance! On Jan 1st I started jogging again. I'm adding in 1 minute jogs every time I can and so far I'm already up to 5 MINUTES OF JOGGING! Not 5 minutes straight but during my 20 minute walk, 5 of them I jogged. I started out at just 1 minute so that's PROGRESS!!!!

I was doing a video yesterday and one of the exercises is insane...I thought there was no way I could do it....basically it is a plank with two dumbells and you alternate lifting the dumbbells up like a row while in the plank position. I actually did it. It was complete killer and I thought I was going to die but I was so excited that I did it I felt amazing!

I always measure my progress by the little accomplishments- they are proof that the hard work is paying off and a great excuse to celebrate. WTG wasmws1138, Jlc1974 & karebear22776!!

Small accomplishments are what keep us going! My small accomplishment has been not bingeing on junk food after two days of healthy choices. I always start out great, but it lasts only about two days and then I eat anything and everything I can get my hands on. I'm not quite two weeks onto this, and so far, so good! I still grab a piece of candy or a cookie, but I don't tell myself I can't have anything, and it's working:)
