Had lunch with 2 of my friends Saturday, packed up some of my apartment. Went to see "Wreck It Ralph" last night - if you haven't seen it and you like animated movies it was very good. Other than that, it was a pretty mundane weekend.

I didn't really do anything. On Saturday night I met up with some High School friends at a bar and actually ended up having a good time! Yesterday my significant other & I drove out to the middle of nowhere to have dinner with his parents and nieces. They call me Aunt Sam. Gives me the CREEPS!

And now it's back to school... Erghh. What'd you do?!

Friday just stayed home with the BF and watched some movies. Saturday did a little bit of shopping then went to a movie with my brother, sis-in-law and my mom. We saw This Is 40, hilarious movie. Sunday I slept in, did some laundry then I went to the gym for a coupe of hours. Not an overly eventful weekend.

It was a pretty chill weekend for me.
Played trampoline dodgeball on Friday night, got smacked in the face by balls.
Saturday worked out during the day and then went and watched the debacle called Vikings football. Really once they said Joe Webb was the QB all hope was lost. One of my friends is dating the cousin of one of the Vikings WR's so it was good to see him get some catches in the 4th quarter.
Sunday watched The Dark Knight Rises and worked out with my friend from above. We met when she was my personal trainer, she no longer trains as she is a manager so any time I can get to work out side by side with her is great. I did her arm work out on saturday and my arms are still feeling it. I expect to not be able to walk by around 3 today as it usually takes me 24-48 hours to really feel a leg work out. This last week and a half that I have been getting back into weight training is reminding me why I missed it. Not running as much as I hate running on the treadmill now after running outside this fall. Trying to do 30-45 mins of strength training and 30 mins of cardio at least 5 days a week.

Shame on me I didn't work out this weekend :-/ But I did get to meet the bf's dad; we went for dinner both Friday and Saturday night and hung out a bit Sunday morning before I went to catch up with an old friend I haven't seen in 11 years! So overall it was a great weekend :)

    That trampoline dodgeball sounds fun!

Friday, took a little road trip south with the sister. Good time! Worked Friday night and Saturday night. Made a good dent in the book series I'm reading. Worked Sunday night. I have today off and I work again Tuesday.

Friday, I watched Texas A&M Beat The Hell Outta Oklahoma! Gig 'Em! Aye, Whoop! Did the workout from hell Saturday. I was almost in tears trying to brush my teeth both Saturday night and Sunday morning. Walked about 3 miles on Sunday. It was 15 degrees out and the wind was blowing. Other than that, I played NCAA Football 2013.

Went out Friday night and ended up logging a 3200 calorie night :( Saturday was a waste from sleeping in and playing Battlefield 3 with friends at my bro's place with two plasmas set up..lol. Sunday was chore day...housekeeping, groceries, laundry and cooking my meals for the week.

    Can you say...nerds?

Sounds like great weekends!! LOL at Auntie Sam!!

And, kudos to those working out, I'm jealous! I'm still on walk only orders from the doctor and going crazy.

Friday, had plans to watch a band with the bf. We realized after work that we hadn't figured out dinner. He told me to just come over and we'd figure it out. Well, by the time I got there, he had already cooked dinner and made the table. The lights were down and he took the wine out as I walked in. It's nice to be taken care of. :) After that, we went out and had a blast. I don't dance....but, he had me out there spinning and dipping and yeah...it was good.

Saturday, I took the kids to the Science Museum and had a blast. Everything is hands-on, so I was able to let them loose. We walked around for 4+ hours and I especially loved the guitar exhibit. It was a travelling exhibit about the history and science of guitars. They had guitars from the 1400s-present on display. Just awesome.

Yesterday, was church and working on a school project with my daughter. I'm so glad she's artistic...because I am not. lol Met the bf at Starbucks last night and had a continuation of what has become many good talks. We both know exactly what we want and don't want in a relationship, and as of now everything is going the right direction. But, at the same time we're not trying to rush anything.

    All right!

As for me I pretty much spent the weekend laying in bed, popping antibiotics as I recovered from the bacterial infection I had in my lungs and throat. I didn't shave for a week and had a nice grizzly looking beard starting to grow. I'm ready to hit the gym though!

Didn't end up going out Friday night like I had originally planned.

Saturday cleaned and did housework, then football in the afternoon and evening. Opted to head out to a sports bar to watch the game and interact/cheer with people rather than alone in my apartment.

Sunday I had a first date with a girl that had contacted me online. Went for coffee and an art show/sale. We ended up talking for a couple of hours. While we had good conversation and seem to have a lot in common, I just wasn't feeling anything there. We could probably be pretty good friends, but just not feeling anything more intimate. Will give a second date a shot, but we will see.

Went shopping with my mom on Saturday and Sunday. I was able to get an $168 Pink Ralph Lauren purse for $63!! I think I am going to go out and buy the black one on Thursday when I head back to the mall with a friend. I have 3 weddings this Spring and I know I will need a black purse for one of the weddings. It's too good of a deal to pass up. Went a little wild in Victoria's Secret. That store is dangerous.

Then I watched football the rest of the weekend. Can't believe there are only a few games left!! I wish the season was longer, but I know that would never fly with the players.

I got to try out my new pink and silver wheelchair over the weekend. It's not completely finished as the company messed up on a few things, but it's OK to sit in it and wheel around to test it out for the time being. It is HOT looking. Some minor adjustments need to be made before I am totally comfortable in it, but I LOOOOVE it. I can't wait to add some bling to it once it arrives in the mail. Headed out today to get the back upholstered to the fabric I picked out. The company was supposed to do it, but my rep here said it would be quicker and cheaper if I did it in town.

Thank You !!! I did survive...barely! I have very little memory of Saturday between 2100- 0001. I do remember roughly 0020 throwing up and that was the beginning of my rally!

My bar tab for the night was over 300 and that was just the shots, they apparently thought it would be uncouth to charge me for beer on my birthday!

I sang with the band, stripped for the ladies, had twirly time in the ladies room and danced on the bar....

I think it is safe to say, I partied like a rockstar!!!

Now Im going to the gym to try and sweat the bourbon out of my body!

Why was it $168 to begin with? How did it get marked down to $63?

This weekend was not my favorite.

Saturday went to a very long funeral for the husband of my co-worker.
Then went to pick up my stuff from my (ex) boyfriend's house and talk for a couple hours.
I did try to rally by meeting someone for coffee after and going out that night..but it was a little tough.

Sunday was the no shower, wallow in tears day. Took a walk with a friend in the rain.
Vancouver is seriously depressing this time of year.

It can only get better from here, right?!

I'm pretty sure the most expensive purse that I own cost me $20. And I even had a hard time rationalizing spending THAT much on one. Ahaha.

January has always been the worst month for me.
I think that's the new year effect, with people all around us making big changes in their respective lives... Sprinkle some "winter depression" on it, and you get one of the most difficult month of the year.

So yeah, in my experience it can only get better from here...

Haha this was the first big post college purchase! And the most I've ever spent on a purse! It's really good quality and I think it will last a while.

I refuse to pay more than $20-30 for a purse because I get bored with them easily and always want to switch it up.

Haha that is funny because I am the opposite. I only like tan leather purses. So oddly specific. Yet I can't carry anything else.
